Lots of customization but poor performance

Canto has a ton of customizations but is limited in its performance and reliability. You can configure the system anyway you like. So you can organize your assets that fits your organization the best. It is so easy to select one or more, generate a link and send it to a nonuser which is huge! The guest upload feature for letting people outside of your user group to send you files and upload them in full resolution. Having the ability to have a temporary selection board to pull assets ...

Good idea, confusing UI and confusing settings

What do you like best? I like the folder structure of organizing your assets. It's familiar if you are use to a file system. I really like the Canto uploader for OS X which makes bulk uploads easy. I like that you can brand your DAM to your company so the site looks familiar to new users. The cloud based nature of the service is great for ease of use. The system allows uploading and organization of images, video, powerpoints, PDFs, audio files and more. I love that you can invite non user ...

Canto is a great media data…

Canto is a great media data asset management platform that helps us to organize and categorize a wide bunch of images, videos, and other documents of our company. Many of the functions are very helpful, e.g. the searchability and customizing collections of assets to share it with our partners and TPAs is really valuable!

Canto Cumulus is a great media data asset management platform

What do you like best? Capabilities to organize and categorize a wide bunch of images, videos, and other documents of our company. Many of the functions are very helpful, e.g. the searchability and customizing collections of assets to share it with our partners and TPAs is really valuable! What do you dislike? No function to share documents automatically to the sales team when they go updated. Recommendations to others considering the product: Canto's platform is worth to ...

Canto does what you need it to. Not the flashiest software. Solid solution for image management.

What do you like best? Easy software to use. Not much of a learning curve. Does everything we need it to. Having an SSO is nice for any enterprise. Folder structure is intuitive. I like the feature of creating your own internal libraries based on individual projects. What do you dislike? The image editing feature is not as good as they make it out to be. Much easier to edit photos with Photoshop. Downloading images can be a pain sometimes if you have a lot. Recommendations to ...

Two Thumbs up for Canto!

Two Thumbs up for Canto! My favorite thing about Canto is it's ease of use. It reminds me of iTunes a bit, there are several ways to search for assets which make it very easy for users to locate assets. I come from a background of keywords and tags and appreciate the way it is laid out in Canto and as an administrator I also love the reporting aspect, specifically the metadata activity metrics. Another huge plus is the external connections you can link to upload from Dropbox and Google ...

Great Digital Asset Management solution!

We use Canto to manage most of our digital assets. It is a great timesaver. Having all our corporate assets in one place at my finger tips makes my projects flow much more smoothly. I no longer have to chase people down for what I need. Also, now that we have Canto, most stake holders in the company have access to our digital assets. I no longer need to spend time gathering files for others.

Great Data Asset Management Software

What do you like best? The easy of use of this product is awesome. There isn't a significant learning curve to getting things set up. The most time spent is on uploading and cataloging assets which has to be done on any platform. What do you dislike? This is a minor complaint but I would like to see a preference or setting feature that allows the admin to extend / shorten the amount of time that a user can stay logged in without getting logged out from the system. Recommendations ...

How do I love Canto? Let me count the ways ...

It’s no exaggeration to say that Canto is My Hero right now! We finished migrating our assets and started using Canto just a few weeks before our US team was ordered to work from home due to the Coronavirus (our international team has already gone through this). I don’t think we would have all been able to keep working with the product we were using before. With Canto, our domestic and international teams can work together seamlessly from anywhere. And those of us with access to domestic ...
