Basecamp pros and cons

  • Simple, user-friendly interface that is intuitive even for beginners, making it easy for teams to adopt and use efficiently.

  • Centralizes all project information, including documents, tasks, and communications, enabling seamless collaboration and organization.

  • Strong team collaboration tools, including real-time communication, task assignments, and notifications to keep everyone aligned.

Basecamp Review

What do you like best? I like the ability to assign and manage different projects with different clients in one place. Helps to keep the clients informed, as well as submit requests and see progress in one location. What do you dislike? It can be a little clunky to have to scroll and scroll and the appearance isn't the most up-to-date, but works well. Recommendations to others considering the product Make the interface more user friendly and a little more up-to-date appearance ...

Keeps me accountable

What do you like best? The to-do lists keep me organized. I can lay out as much detail as I need, and it helps me get a scope of the project. What do you dislike? I wish I could see every to-do list at one time, instead of having to click on my different projects for it. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Group collaboration! It's a great way for other team members to understand their colleagues' tasks and workload. I have ...

Great project management tool

What do you like best? - It is user friendly and intuitive: I didn't need any training to learn how to use it - The design is great - Easy to organize and assign to specific people/teams - Easy to keep track of project/tasks - Easy to look for previous tasks What do you dislike? I cannot think of anything I dislike about Basecamp. Sadly my company switched to another software about a year ago so I don't get to use it anymore. Recommendations to others considering the ...

Nice for remote/traveling employees

What do you like best? Basecamp has a blog-like feel, and is nice place to brain dump during or after projects. What do you dislike? It isn't always clear which boards or projects I should pay attention to for my company's account because not all of them are always relevant to my role specifically. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Our remote and traveling teammates (like myself can use this as a nice tool to share updates and ...

Basecamp-All-in-One Product

What do you like best? I like that Basecamp creates an all-in-one environment. Everything you need to do in a project can be done in Basecamp, so all project assets are in one place. What do you dislike? Some of our projects have dependencies on other projects, and there is no way we have figured out how to communicate without adding everyone to each project. Recommendations to others considering the product Easy to use and it offers a great way to communicate and work together. The ...

Basecamp gets the job done but definitely has room for improvement

Basecamp has been an amazing organization tool.

A very solid project management platform with a reliable team.

PROS & CONS What are the best aspects of this product? It does a good job organizing discussions and storing them out of my e-mail. I was able to set it up in a way where if there's a new message, it'll automatically be sent to my inbox. I can delete the message anytime since all messsages are typically found in the Basecamp discussion thread. Whenever I'm involed in a project, I simply head on to over Basecamp to see my assets and team conversation so I can be up to speed with the ...

Has become essential for our team’s organization

What do you like best? I love that Basecamp lets our team organize projects with to-dos, a file sharing section, and more, WHILE also letting us all see what our client communication has been. What do you dislike? The app version of basecamp doesn’t feel the same as the online version. It’s harder to see what’s happening. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? We got to the point where no one could be sure who had said what to a ...
