Basecamp pros and cons
Simple, user-friendly interface that is intuitive even for beginners, making it easy for teams to adopt and use efficiently.
Centralizes all project information, including documents, tasks, and communications, enabling seamless collaboration and organization.
Strong team collaboration tools, including real-time communication, task assignments, and notifications to keep everyone aligned.
Highly effective for remote and hybrid teams, allowing easy management of tasks and communication across distances.

Simple but hard to gain participation
What do you like best? I really like how streamlined the UI is. It’s very easy to figure out. Everything is layer out in a very clean and orderly manner. What do you dislike? One of the things I like about the product is also something I don’t like: its simplicity. There aren’t a lot of features, which makes scaling a challenge. Recommendations to others considering the product The tool is only as great as the effort and commitment you put into it. It can be a valuable ...

New version has some room for improvement
What do you like best? I like the newer interface, and it's generally cleaner and easier to use. What do you dislike? There are a lot of features of the old version that we enjoyed, such as the way it handled conversations with the public. Recommendations to others considering the product Great product but be very careful if you need clients to access it at the same time. It does not provide much separation between internal communication and clients. It did in the earlier version. ...

Okay but could be better
What do you like best? This project management tool is great for connecting remote teams and collaborating with various project members. It's good for small team projects and tracking progress and communicating with team and project members. What do you dislike? Basecamp is pretty pricey for what it is. I do think the functionality is good, but it is competing against PM heavy hitters like Asana which teams can use for the fraction of the monthly cost of Basecamp. Recommendations to ...

Highly recommend for project management with teams
What do you like best? I manage my work and tasks with Basecamp. It helps me and my team do our jobs better. What do you dislike? There's a learning curve for new users where those who are not tech savvy may be uncomfortable using it. They may prefer using email for communications and Google Drive for documents. But Basecamp is all in one. Recommendations to others considering the product Basecamp is helpful when several members of a team are using it simultaneously. It helps set ...

Super Intuitive
What do you like best? I love how I can drag and drop nearly any file into nearly any message. It's a great file management system for sharing amongst coworkers. We track all of our complex projects in Basecamp. What do you dislike? The graphics and colors could be updated to something a lot more modern/clean/simple. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? We have a lot of super complex initiatives that require detailed tracking ...

BaseCamp Review
What do you like best? Basecamp makes it very easy to communicate with the vendor doing our website redesign project. All the information is in one location, so you never go hunting through email for attachments and information related to the project. You can create different projects within the tool. You also get email notifications when anyone posts anything, so it makes it easy to communicate in real-time. You can also create to-do lists and keep track of events on a calendar. What ...

Solid project management platform
What do you like best? File organization is pretty straightforward and simple. It reminds me of Box or Dropbox in terms of just intuitive, simple layout. It doesn't have a whole ton of features that you don't need. What do you dislike? Check-box ordering and restrictions can sometimes be a bit annoying (like checking tasks off out of order Recommendations to others considering the product One thing I really like about Basecamp is that it's a going concern. I started using Basecamp ...
