Easy to make wireframes, but increasingly harder to create polished prototypes.

What do you like best? I like how with experience, axure can be an easy go-to tool for creating wireframes, especially if it's the main design software used in the team. The sidebar with objects you can click and drag makes it easy to pull wireframes together. What do you dislike? Shortcuts aren't very obvious and you have to search for them before you can even learn them. I like to use shortcuts when designing as it makes designing wireframes and prototypes even more efficient and ...

Strong prototyping tool

What do you like best? Axure is a good tool for medium to high fidelity prototyping. Especially since the new update (v8 that makes Team Sharing simpler, it's especially useful for teams to share editing and access to large numbers of files and to share always up to date, annotated prototypes / specs with developers. The libraries are also really useful once you invest the time in getting them set up and shared between the team as well. What do you dislike? There are still a few ...

I really like Axure because it scales to your needs and is easy to use

What do you like best? It's flexible and works if you want a quick wireframe or if you want an interactive functional demo. It's got good online support in forums and training videos and the price was much better than other tools I tried (like iRise. What do you dislike? hmm. As great as dynamic panels are using that approach to show alternating row colors for tables is very tedious. Recommendations to others considering the product Buy it ; This is one of my favorite tools as a ...

Good prototyping tool

What do you like best? Axure RP is overall a good prototyping tool. It's easy and quick to install and can be used both on Windows and Mac. It can build interactive, nice, professional-looking prototypes. What do you dislike? Personally, I prefer tools such as Balsamiq, that has a totally different feel. Axure RP is great when you need a more polished and interactive prototype, but is of course less immediate to learn and use, and gives the impression of something "almost ...

Primary Tool for Information Architecture, interactive prototypes, wireframes

What do you like best? Lots of capabilities for IA and UX design processes. Ability to build interactive prototypes that look and feel like high-fidelity, fully fleshed products. AxShare allows you to check your project live with every edit and easily send a working link to a coworker. Team option lets several people work on the same project simultaneously which is great for both in office and remote collaborative work. What do you dislike? Axure has a learning curve. Some of great ...

Useful tool for light prototypes; not so great for going robust

What do you like best? Axure is extremely easy to learn on the job. Their forums are extremely helpful, and a quick search on Google yields all sorts of free widgets, tutorials and prototypes for download. I found the ramp up time is very low if learning to use Axure. Additionally for light prototypes used for testing, Axure is a wonderful tool. What do you dislike? An Axure prototype always looks and feels like an Axure prototype. There's a bit of a gap between reality and Axure. If ...

Been using axure since 2008, can't find a better alternative.

What do you like best? All of the advanced features that other prototyping software doesn't have. I am used to create high fidelity prototypes fast. Combining ease of use with high functionality is the best feature of Axure. Time to try version 8.0. What do you dislike? I am missing fluid responsive prototyping. I know Axure has adaptive views but it seems like a lot of hassle for a rapid prototype. It is also really expensive. If you want fast prototype for a small website, just use ...

High Fidelity Prototyping with Axure

What do you like best? Axure provides the environment to create low to high fidelity prototypes and that's what I enjoy the most. The possibility to create something like a sketch and then evolve to something like a portal with complex interactions is what makes Axure the right tool for Information Architects, Product Designers and UX Designers in general. The logical conditions and tools to create interactions are very efficient, these tools help us create the right environment for ...

Review of Axure RP as a wireframing tool!

What do you like best? I have been predominantly using Axure RP for wireframing various websites design, as well as, some mobile applications. The best thing about Axure RP as a wireframing tool is it's simplicity. Within minutes, I can come up with a very accurate and easily understandable wireframe for website / mobile application. It is a wonderful starting point in my design process. It abstracts things to a level where I can have the freedom to play with user-flows and layouts, ...

Easy Interactive Prototypes For Web Apps!

What do you like best? Axure RP offer a layer based stacking for the designs components which makes it much easier to create interactions with different elements of the design. Also, what is great about Axure RP is that it publishes the prototype as a clickable web based HTML prototype which can be opened up in any browser. What do you dislike? There are quite a few things that I feel to be missing out in Axure RP- 1. If you are prototyping for mobile devices, there is no way one ...
