Asana pros and cons
Simple interface supports easy adoption for personal and professional use.
Task and project management includes timelines, recurring tasks, subtasks, and milestones for structured workflows.
Team collaboration features include comments, file attachments, and real-time updates.
Customizable workflows, task prioritization, and board/list views accommodate varying user needs.
Steep learning curve for new users due to the richness of features and complex implementation for larger organizations.
Advanced features (e.g., custom fields, timeline views, and detailed reporting) are locked behind premium pricing, making it expensive for smaller organizations.

Top notch collaboration tool
What do you like best? Intuitive user interface, sleek and modern design, dependency management functionality is really useful. Easy to quickly get setup and go. What do you dislike? Does not serve as a end-to-end product management tool, so additional platforms are needed to fill in the gaps. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Team collaboration, task management and dependency tracking.

Great tool to keep your team on track
What do you like best? Asana is a great collaborative tool to log project deliverables and keep you and your co-workers on track towards accomplishing your goals. I love Asana's UI which allows you to visualize when tasks are due in relation to the great project, making a large goal seem much more manageable. What do you dislike? Nothing really on the features side of things. I wish the cost was a bit lower, but even with what we pay it's worth the cost. What business problems are you ...

Great Task Management Tool
What do you like best? I like the visibility Asana give me into tasking and activities across team members. I get a lot of value out of the month at a glance view, which enables us to see parallel work-stream activities and make not of any dependencies. What do you dislike? There is nothing I really dislike about the product. The user interface is fresh and clean, though it can sometimes seem a little too simplistic. Recommendations to others considering the product Create clear ...

A robust project management tool
What do you like best? Asana provides countless options for project management—with plenty of customization to ensure that every detail of a project can be managed, tracked, and accomplished. What do you dislike? With such robust offerings, Asana is not the most simple to use. It takes some time to get a hang of it, and even then, it isn't overly simple or fun to use. It gets the job done with lots of features, but isn't overly engaging to use. What business problems are you solving ...

Asana, great when everyone is on board
What do you like best? Asana has great functionality. It's awesome for managing a wide variety of projects across and between different teams. What do you dislike? The integration with email and calendar on Outlook can be clunky. Recommendations to others considering the product You need to fully onboard everyone in your organization. This product works best when every user really understands it. It fell off for teams that weren't sufficiently trained. What business problems are ...

Not too bad
What do you like best? The interface is clean. Color in the right places and seemingly organized. What do you dislike? The overflow of notifications required for the system to work is crazy. If there were more prominent notifications you wouldn't need to rely on the Inbox so much. Recommendations to others considering the product Asana is getting better. I've tried it before when it was just awful but they are getting there. If it works for you, great. I just find myself needing ...

Easy Peasy and Pretty
What do you like best? Asana is usable for everyone - and I mean that quite literally - it allows users to view projects in their own preference (whether you need to see it as a list, agile board, calendar view, etc, making it the perfect option for my team. What do you dislike? I wish that the free version allowed us to create more options in the templates. Some of the restrictions don't make sense, even in a free option! Recommendations to others considering the product Asana is a ...

We use and love Asana
We use and love Asana. Too many people try to manage tasks and communications for projects within email and it just doesn't work. Asana for business processes, Jira for development. That's how we roll.
