Asana pros and cons

  • Simple interface supports easy adoption for personal and professional use.

  • Task and project management includes timelines, recurring tasks, subtasks, and milestones for structured workflows.

  • Team collaboration features include comments, file attachments, and real-time updates.

  • Customizable workflows, task prioritization, and board/list views accommodate varying user needs.

Good but room to improve

What do you like best? Task tracking capabilities including sub-tasks etc, ability to create team projects, What do you dislike? Lack of intuitiveness on the calendar functionality, don't find it as effective for seeing feature development as JIRA Recommendations to others considering the product Consider use this more as a task tracker rather than a true project management tool - hard to track the progress of tasks, or the flow of the project cycle. What business problems are ...

Awesome Asana

What do you like best? Asana helps me get all of my ideas and to-do's out of my head and into a platform that is easy to use and manage. My work capacity has skyrocketed since implementing Asana. What do you dislike? Some really helpful features are only available with premium. It is probably worth the cost, but not something I want to spend money on right now. Some reminder features would be helpful especially when deadlines are approaching and tasks are due soon. In some cases, ...

Great Solution to Daily Organization and Project Management

What do you like best? I like being able to sort my tasks by date so that every day I know exactly what tasks need to be done. I like that you can organize tasks by client which is super helpful when monthly reporting comes around to recall everything that was done for the client in that month. I also love that I am able to track my time with Harvest in Asana. This makes time tracking much easier! What do you dislike? One thing that I don't like about Asana is the due date ...

Task management, well done but redundant

What do you like best? Asana provides a way to keep track of projects and priorities, things I'm not great at and tend to keep in my head. Everybody knows that it's helpful to make a list, and Asana lets you create a detailed list you can interact with in more meaningful ways than simply crossing off entries. What do you dislike? Lots of other business software has its own means of planning and tracking progress; they make Asana superfluous. In these cases, the more detail you add to ...

Great way to collaborate with my team

What do you like best? I plan events for the community team, and I cannot stress how much being detail-oriented is important. I love using Asana at work and am always knee deep in my tasks and managing them. What do you dislike? I don't like that I haven't mastered it yet; there's a lot of features I haven't figured out yet. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? We use this for project management, specifically for writing blogs, ...

Proving tasks within larger tasks

What do you like best? I like that you can archive everything fairly easily and can tag people. Within each project you can provide sub tasks which is helpful and the settings will send you a nudge to remind you you have something due soon What do you dislike? I wish that within a larger task, the smaller tasks could be assigned to individual people instead of all people assigned on the larger task. Also seeing it in calendar view would help What business problems are you solving ...
