Asana pros and cons

  • Simple interface supports easy adoption for personal and professional use.

  • Task and project management includes timelines, recurring tasks, subtasks, and milestones for structured workflows.

  • Team collaboration features include comments, file attachments, and real-time updates.

  • Customizable workflows, task prioritization, and board/list views accommodate varying user needs.

Useful, but potential for improvement

What do you like best? The graphics were great and very tongue-in-cheek. Checking off tasks was also quite pleasant! What do you dislike? Creating subtasks or doing anything OTHER than creating tasks required training and mostly a lot of Googling. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Collaborating on research and writing policy briefs, ensuring everyone is being held accountable and on track with their tasks.

Helpful and easy to use

What do you like best? I like how you can assign people tasks, tag people in tasks and they get a notification. What do you dislike? I don't like the calendar part of the program, I think it could be a bit more user-friendly. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? One benefit that has been very helpful is being able to stay organize and plan out schedules.

Stop letting tasks slip through the cracks

What do you like best? Being able to duplicate checklists! My team uses a generic checklist that we then customize to fit a specific project, but it's great not to have to start from scratch What do you dislike? Calendar view is overwhelming. We have too many tasks due across a specific week (instead of having a specific date as a deadline). So in calendar view, there is too much going on. It's be nice to be able to exclude certain projects/tasks from calendar view. ...
