Asana pros and cons

  • Simple interface supports easy adoption for personal and professional use.

  • Task and project management includes timelines, recurring tasks, subtasks, and milestones for structured workflows.

  • Team collaboration features include comments, file attachments, and real-time updates.

  • Customizable workflows, task prioritization, and board/list views accommodate varying user needs.

  • Steep learning curve for new users due to the richness of features and complex implementation for larger organizations.

Gotta do the work to do the work

What do you like best? Asana can be whatever you need it to be. Once you set up protocols for your team, you can easily track projects, processes, anything! We even made a project for everyone's coffee orders. Very customizable and searchable. The support is great too! What do you dislike? Your whole team needs to commit to protocols and to using Asana in general. Because it's so customizable you need to all be on the same page and use it the same for it to be effective. What ...

I really like using Asana

I really like using Asana. It helps keep things organized so I know the steps in each project and who needs to do what. They also have an excellent forum with tons of information and they let you do training in Asana so that you can offer Asana set up as a service to your clients. It's a win-win.

Love using Asana for personal task management as well as for team collaboration in our organization

I've started using Asana a couple of years ago as I was searching for a tool that would help me manage all my tasks in a list view. Up to that point, I was using a note-taking app for that but was lacking structure in it, and when I discovered Asana, it gave me just that - structure for managing my multiple projects more efficiently and effectively by having an overview of all the projects and even better an overview of most important (daily) tasks.Later we also implemented Asana within our ...

Work management at is best

What do you like best? Very intuitive platform, allows me to get the job done without getting in the middle What do you dislike? This applies to any work management app; without a business framework asana is just a powerful tool. Is best when asana is paired with something like GTD or similar Recommendations to others considering the product: Implement asana with some work management strategy or methodology like GTD. We did not do this at the start and have discovered it ...

Hands down, the best management tool I've ever used

What do you like best? I've been using Asana for the last 5 years. This is absolutely universal tool. It could be useful for personal day to day tasks like fast notes and personal agenda as well as a large company management instrument. As CEO in one and COO in the second company, I've been using it for building the company structure and processes from scratch. This is the best example, showing the flexibility of Asana. It's absolutely well-designed and ready to use right ...

A Good system but only if you upgrade

What do you like best? - I like how user friendly it is, its really easy to use. - Its really good for collaborating and can link into your outlook. - The design is aesthetically pleasing and motivating. What do you dislike? I used to have access to Portfolios and then they changed it so that you could only get this on a premium subscription. Its pretty pointless using it for oversight of all projects in the business without this, but to upgrade to premium you had to do this ...

Asana helps me track and reach more goals than ever before

What do you like best? Asana is a business that focuses on getting the user experience right for its users. As a User Experience Designer, I'm often inspired by the simplicity of Asana. They make it so easy to organize everything about your work into doable chunks, so I can continue to make progress towards much bigger goals. We also use Portfolio quite often to track capacity in the department. Because the whole team tracks their estimated hours, Portfolio is updated in real-time. ...
