I've tried other backup and restore software, including Macrium, and Aomei is the only one that's consistently worked. It employs "hot backup" meaning it performs the back up while the OS (Windows) is running. There's no need to exit the OS then boot into the backup software, making it easy for the average user. This company has been around a while meaning the software is mature, they have an extensive website with helpful tips and their customer support is responsive. Recommended.

Crap

Not serving a purpose trustfully. If you do a backup of large (i.e. 1TB) file folder on NAS to some external drive and connection is lost after let's say 2/3 completed, you are f**ked and will have nothing to continue from, just start from scratch... seriously? 2020? Not doing incremental checkpoints? What a failure...

AOMEI Backupper Pro is not really a full disk backup software

I purchased the Pro version of Aomei Backupper. The software does not work as advertised. It will only do full-disk backups of the disk you are booted from. If you are trying to make a "ghost" of a secondary drive (say a laptop hard drive plugged into your PC as a secondary drive), it will not capture boot info. So, in essence, their version of a "full disk backup" is not actually a full disk backup. It took me a week of going back and forth with tech support for them to finally come around ...

Scam, Program crashed my computer with a blue screen of death 5 times after install. Then linked a new fixed version of the software and I install. That did not BSOD but would not backup, it did nothing. January 3rd they said if they cant fix it that day they would issue a refund. I am disappointed with this software manufacturer. I purchased the license for Buckupper Pro + lifetime upgrades and in version 5.5 they removed from the Professional edition a function for which I purchased this application, namely PXE Boot Tool. I upgraded to the Workstation version that does not exist at the time, but they told me that the upgrade is only for a single PC, not for 2 as I had a Pro license. What do you like best about AOMEI Backupper? I can run backups of drives and the backup times are very quick. You can choose between a full backup or select certain partitions. Also the price, a lot better than a lot of other free options out there.

Impossible refund policy

I bought AOMEI Backupper Pro to make a clone of my windows 10 system disk in case of problem with my hard drive. The 30-day free trial version asked me to buy the paid version to perform this operation. Unfortunately, the software was unable to perform this operation. And when I wanted to get pampered after 3 days from the date of purchase, in accordance with their refund policy that too was not possible. Another scam on the internet.
