Can't get excited about Alexandria
We are using version 6 right now and for the last 6 years and we have always had issues. From using the reports, to printing labels, to getting student information from Power School. The system is not intuitive and I don't care for the cataloging interface when I have to input items manually. I wouldn't recommend it.

Mostly good with some glitches!
I have been using Alexandria for 10 years now. Recently we upgraded to the all web based version. I feel that it isn't as easily used as in the past; however, Alexandria is great with support and has taken some of our suggestions in the past and implemented them.

Alexandria
It's obvious that a librarian was not involved in the design of this software. Including a panel of librarians to facilitate with new versions might mitigate some of the problems (why do I have to click the Renew tab to see what books a child has signed out??, why are books called "items"?)

Love Alexandria
Alexandria has been very useable even for the inexperienced cataloger. A very powerful yet easy and verist program to operate and the tech support is unparalleled to any other type of support. Always ready with the answer to what may seem mundane questions. Keep up the good work

I wouldn't want to be without Accelerated Reader. It drives our students to read constantly ♥

Couldn't be happier with Alexandria!
The Alexandria online catalog offers easy navigation for patrons and administrators and state-of-the-art technological support available 24/7.

It's ok...
I was using Destiny at my prior library and have not been that excited about Alexandria. The reports are not nearly as easy to get and some things are just downright confusing. It could use some work to make it more user friendly.

Alexandria Version 5
I have used Alexandria V5 for the past 5 years. It has been very user friendly. Tech support has always been helpful if I have needed them. The only drawback is not being able to access Alexandria and work from home. I am upgrading to the online version this year. So, working from home will now be an option.

Alexandria: The Good, the Bad and the Mediocre
Cataloging is always easy and I love how it works great consistently. This is good. When checking in a stack of books there is rarely a person in front of me while I'm doing so. So WHY is there an interruptive pop-up that says this patron has an overdue when the most likely item i check in will be that overdue? what is the purpose of this??? this is the very bad. And finally when printing out patron details the page formatting does not show everything easily even if you change the page set ...
