"Functional, but difficult "

What do you like best about Adobe Captivate? This software can do almost anything you’re looking to do for creating interactive training elements, but it’s not user friendly. The learning curve to be productive is pretty steep, and if you really want a great looking course, you’ll need to combine skills with other software, like photoshop or illustrator. What do you dislike about Adobe Captivate? The interactions builders and programming options are not easy to use. Recommendations to ...

"Extremely capable but not customizable enough"

What do you like best about Adobe Captivate? Wide variety of effects available, many exportation methods, possible to build quizzes and interactive content. What do you dislike about Adobe Captivate? Importable files are limited, can not fine tune special effects (ex. Keyboard typing sound volume), software feels ‘bloated’, cannot natively export directly to a video file, synchronizing single audio files across multiple slides is tedious Recommendations to others considering Adobe ...

"It is easy for IT people who do not have time. Reach out to tens of ppl at your dept."

What do you like best about Adobe Captivate? Adobe Captivate saves me time for my authoring work when I need to deal with e-learning content. As being the IT person in my department and a research assistant, I sometimes use it for demonstration of certain software that my department purchased. What do you dislike about Adobe Captivate? FTP publishing is the worst feature of it. I am expected to take my time and change the address in the server folder so that I can publish my file. It is ...

"My Top Choice Systems Training"

What do you like best about Adobe Captivate? I love the way it does screen captures and how it allows you to manipulate or even fabricate actions and results. This is often necessary when developing in a test environment. You can even control mouse movement. What do you dislike about Adobe Captivate? Sometimes I will get a slide in my filmstrip that is two shots in one, almost like a short video because Captivate took the shot in between screen transitions instead of after the transition ...

"Excellent video software"

What do you like best about Adobe Captivate? I personally like the ability to import audio files to sync up with my video and manage them separately. I've used other editing software before that did not have this ability or actually required you to create the audio at the same time. You can also import video files from other sources so I can use multiple tools with different capabilities (if necessary) to get the job done. What do you dislike about Adobe Captivate? I cannot record audio ...

"E-Learning Creation for All"

What do you like best about Adobe Captivate? Captivate is quick to learn and fun to master. What do you dislike about Adobe Captivate? It does take some time and effort to make all eLearning perfectly responsive and mobile friendly. Recommendations to others considering Adobe Captivate: Interested organizations should consider if the price of the subscription is worth it for you. If the program will be used often, then it's worth it. If not, maybe consider another program. What problems is ...
