I am very disappointed in Acorns
I am very disappointed in Acorns. They had a promotion which I now believe to be a scam where you get $600 if 3 friends sign up using your referral. Great deal right? Except they won't actually give you that. I took the time to convince 3 friends to sign up which they did within the time period for the promotion. So, money never showed up. Poor customer service / took my money
Poor customer service. I have tried to explain the issue 5 times. All the reps. have been giving me a different answer. My account was clearly showing invested account balance $3300 or a little more and transferring cash was $490 and total at the end said $3,900 or so after adding both the #'s. I spoke to the rep. they understood the issue checked and mentioned yes the money was never transferred to your actual bank account. Something isnt right here
Investingwise, you have to have a heavy investment to make it worth your while. I wanted to try it out so I invested about $350. In 7 months I gained $19 when stocks were growing! Kicker, the fees are not taken from your acorns account, they are taken from your linked bank account as to not show your actual investment-fees. Since I was on the $1 account fee, I really only gained $12. They are also discontinuing the $1 and automatically switching to $3. This is when I decided to close my ...

Locked then Unlocked, then Locked again 😠
I had forgot that I signed up for this account. I received an email about 2 months ago, was told my account was locked because they noticed suspicious activity, that same day or maybe it was the next day I received another email stating it wasn’t locked. Great app if you use it properly
Great app if you use it properly. The time it takes to transfer money out of your account is a bit painful so as long as you just use it s as a savings account that has good interest rates you’ll be satisfied

They deserve 0 star!
If I saw 0 stars, I would grade the ACORN with 0, but there isn't. They even don't deserve even 0. I have two types of accounts. One is an investment for the future, and another one is Early for kids. I needed money and I withdrew the first one but kept it early for kids. Do NOT listen to the bad reviews!
Not sure why all these people are giving negative reviews. I love acorns! I’ve been using them since about 2017. I’ve saved so much money with weekly withdrawals of only $5/10, setting up accounts for my granddaughters and the debit card. I’ve withdrawn large sums of money from my account several times with no issues. My balance just keeps growing. My financial advisor wanted to sign up and use, but it’s a conflict of interest. I shut down my acorns app almost a year…
I shut down my acorns app almost a year ago in December because I wasn’t seeing any benefits by using it. They returned my money but then started billing me through a secondary company. They took out different amounts of money from my account monthly till I realized and called my bank. I’m very angry they would do that because that’s theft, I don’t have an active account. Stay away from them, they have shady business practices and are starting to act like pyramid schemes before they crash.
