What is GitOps Workflow?

What does 'GitOps Workflow' mean?

Under a GitOps approach, the desired state of infrastructure is written as declarative files stored in a Git repository, and that repository becomes the single source of truth. Changes are proposed through commits and pull requests, reviewed like application code, then applied automatically to the running environment. Because every change has a commit history, teams get an audit trail and can roll back by reverting.
