What is Document Review?

What does 'Document Review' mean?

Document review is the AI reading a set of documents and reporting what is in them: risks, obligations, key terms, dates, parties and anything missing against a checklist. It covers both the contract review a transactional lawyer runs over one agreement and the first-pass review a litigator runs over thousands. The things worth comparing are how many documents can be reviewed in a single pass, whether findings are returned in a table you can sort and export, and whether every finding links back to the page it came from.
