What is Document Drafting?

What does 'Document Drafting' mean?

Document drafting is the AI producing a first version of a brief, motion, clause, letter or memo, usually from a prompt plus the matter record and the firm's own precedent. The useful comparisons are where the draft appears, whether it follows the firm's house style and saved templates, and how much of the matter the AI can hold in view while it writes. A draft built from the full record needs editing; a draft built from a prompt alone needs rewriting.
