What is Agent Identity?

What does 'Agent Identity' mean?

Agent identity gives each agent a credential of its own, separate from any person and from the other agents, so its access can be scoped, reviewed and withdrawn on its own. It answers the question a security team asks first: which agent did this, and who allowed it. Platforms differ in how the identity is proved, how long the credential it receives lasts, and whether a human can still be named behind the agent when it is acting for someone.
