Lifelong YNABer. I'm hooked.
I have been using YNAB for five years now and I will never stop. I have always used some sort of budgeting software and was never able to look forward and actually feel in control of money that hadn't already been spent. I love that YNAB allows me to give my dollars a job and know not just if I have money, but if I have money for that specific thing. This app is the best thing you could do…
This app is the best thing you could do for yourself. It is nothing like other budget apps so there is a small learning curve, but once you master it, it is life changing. Customer service is quick and very friendly. I would give 6 stars if possible.

YNAB helps become a planner, instead of a follower of your budget
A high majority of money spend tracking applications and services is focused on THE PAST. Tracking your spending is a must in my opinion, on the other hand, PLANNING is way more important. YNAB makes planning simple, with a few months of historical data, it may take only a few hours to build up your future budget plans, and later track how you can achieve it. The Best Way to Get a Grip!
Never had such a good grasp on my finances until I used YNAB. It took me awhile to "get it" at first (how to use it, the zero-sum budget approach, etc.)... But once I got it, it made every financial goal and decision a million times easier. It also enabled my spouse and I to feel in control of our money, and we've not had almost any financial disputes in our marriage thus far thanks to the clear-cut nature of the budget. Cannot recommend enough
Using YNAB has completely changed the way I think and feel about money. I genuinely look forward to budgeting every two weeks when I receive my paycheck because I can put my money to work according to my priorities and values. The learning resources (website and youtube videos) are great, and so is the customer service.
