YNAB improved my life!
YNAB is simple to use, but powerful enough to help collect, analyze, and plan my personal finances. I was a long-time Quicken user and switched due to their lack of a workable online platform. However, I did not realize that I was gaining more than just a great online service, but a better way of thinking about my finances through the lens of a budget (before the money is spent), rather than just tracking expenses (after the fact). 10+ year user and still love it!
I’ve been using YNAB for about 10+ years. I’ve tried other options (Mint, Quicken, some apps). Nothing really compares in my eyes. In my opinion, it’s easy to learn the process, setup and use. It’s like the “iPhone” of budgeting programs. Simple and clean. They’re consistently updating the software with useable tools to better the experience. Also, the app is very user friendly. I rather use the web, but do occasionally hop on the app. Connecting your accounts is simple. While there can be ...

Coming over to YNAB from Mvelopes
Coming over to YNAB from Mvelopes, it was a steep learning curve. Although at face value the apps look similar they are actually quite different. It took me close to a year to finally understand it. And that was due to the amazing customer service I got every time I had a problem. My final go around with customer support, the woman went to extra lengths and explained the situation in great detail. I FINALLY understood where I was going wrong!
