xMatters Integration Workshop: ServiceNow (NA)

What do you like best? I like the simplicity to configuring the integration between ServiceNow and xMatters. We also already have a conference system (bridges) and I like the functionality that allows for users to join from xMatters to our own hosted bridges and that it is customizable to how we want to use the product. What do you dislike? Sometimes it is difficult to maintain at the pace of xMatters upgrades and the underlying changes with code, etc. that makes it difficult for us ...

Great, but can have more ServiceNow functionality out of the box.

What do you like best? On demand engage function from a SN incident ticket was easy to implement and very useful. What do you dislike? The limitation for auto-escalation from ServiceNow is limited to only Priority. Would like this to work with any ServiceNow field value so we can auto-escalate on various incident conditions. To do this now takes a good amount of scripting vs. just a configuration. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? ...

Provides a lot of value for 24 IT Operations

What do you like best? xMatters is proving to be very valuable as an alerting tool, but it offers a lot more than that. With the right configuration, it can provide a "self healing" services which is great for 24 hour IT operations. And it is very integrable with existing company services and internally developed applications. What do you dislike? Nothing at the moment. I am new to the product having used monitoring/alerting systems (PRTG, SolarWinds, Nagios) and extremely simple (by ...

Worflows and xMatters

What do you like best? New developer interface - nice to see the built-in's and easy design. Looking forward to being able to copy steps from previous workflows and change up custom steps. What do you dislike? Could be a tad more streamlined in the process of setting workflows. Reporting could use some overhaul - it is also a bit skimpy - particularly when users and licenses are concerned. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Will be ...

Xmatters for IT incident notifications and to engage IT resources to conference calls

What do you like best? It is easy to use, you can see a lot of information like logs/names etc. What do you dislike? Sometime it is slow - you have to refresh it to get the page loaded. Sometimes random exceptions pop up. Sometimes the delay to send notification is too much, 10-20 minutes is not an expected result. Recommendations to others considering the product: It is a great tool if you have teams and records up to date, and there is enforced policy for for the teams to ...
