What do you like best? Of course, I love that the platform is open source. That means folks all over the world have had experience with it and offer insight and support. A definite plus for newbies. For the most part because it is it's fairly easy to use and that is what makes it worth recommending. What do you dislike? The non-tech side of me dislikes that I have to run so many plug-ins to customize the site. While I totally understand that it must be done it's hard to know what will ...

We use WordPress CMS for a number of student-run sites

What do you like best? It's very easy to set up and use. There are also a whole host of free plug-ins (some offer more features for a price and themes (ditto on the feature upgrade. Because this is such a widely used CMS, there are a lot of vendors supplying a lot of different solutions. What do you dislike? A WordPress site looks like a WordPress site. There's not a not flexibility to how the off-the-shelf themes are arranged online. Yes, they look different, but ultimately there's a ...

Even the free, entry-level templates are incredibly well designed, and there's a high level of customization. Wordpress is also just fun to use, and a great blogging platform. What do you dislike? While feature rich, it does require a good big of tinkering, and ...

Great for New Web Builders

What do you like best? It is pretty self explanatory. It is great for those who don't know any HTML. Lets you customize website development. What I like is the stats I get of the most visited pages - this is great when you want to prioritize changes to the website. What do you dislike? There has been recent changes where you can update your pages while looking at the page of how it would look "live" but it took me a LONG time understand it. It wasn't a smooth transition for me. ...

User Friendly and Highly Supported

What do you like best? WordPress is a tried and tested product with a huge following. Developers around the world have created a wide range of free and paid-for add-ons/plugins to help beginners produce powerful websites for their business. What do you dislike? The page/post editor has large limitations for those who actually know coding, often stripping perfectly common code from a page and forcing the user to find work-arounds. Recommendations to others considering the product ...

Great blogging platform

What do you like best? Wordpress is so easy to use & not too difficult to customize, so long as you're familiar with a bit of the CMS/development end. As an editor, I find their WYSIWYG editor very straightforward & simple to figure out, the likes of which are fairly uncommon. I like that Wordpress can be easily implemented & used by newbies without much background in CMS or editing platforms. What do you dislike? As a personal blogger, I've never liked that Wordpress charges users to ...
