Easy to use and effortless to maintain

What do you like best? What I love most about Wordpress is it’s easy, intuitive ease of use. The platform gives me the opportunity to keep my focus on content creation, not on how to use the product. What do you dislike? I love everything about the platform. If there was one thing I had to pick as a “dislike” I would say the WYSIWYG editor. It’s buggy at times. I have leaned a little code and can often view the source and fix any bugs but without this knowledge would have to deal with ...

WordPress - Easy for beginners

What do you like best? Easy format that is easy for beginners to pick-up with very little training. It's one of the easiest CMS' I've experienced with the least formatting issues. What do you dislike? The widgets function is not always intuitive and the scheduling function is poor and the source of a lot of pain points for me. Recommendations to others considering the product If you're a non-profit and want an easy, out of the box solution, it's likely a good option. But, I've ...

TRY IT YOU'LL LIKE IT, MIKE TRIED IT AND LIKED IT AND SO WILL YOU. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? I have solved use of space on the page because of the way WP has provided the ...

Company blogging with WordPress

What do you like best? WordPress offers an easy-to-use interface with a wide selection of themes. The My Site page editor is easy to navigate. What do you dislike? The WP Admin is a bit more complex to navigate , but still acts as a fairly decent CMS. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Our previous system required the assistance of the sys admin to publish. With WordPress we were able to circumvent this issue , allowing us to ...

Easy to use platform, lots of functionality

What do you like best? I like that there's a community of integrations, typically if you have an issue/need, someone else has already solved it. What do you dislike? It feels simplistic at times. There are some small things that I feel should have been added a while back. Recommendations to others considering the product Just make sure you really test all of the base features - we found ourselves in a position to be integrating many smaller modules many times over, which requires ...

Wordpress Genius

What do you like best? I like how accessible it is and easy to integrate with websites. The user interface is optimal. There is a lot of flexibility in using with other programs. What do you dislike? I don't always like the limited ability of website creation with this particular program. Recommendations to others considering the product It is very easy to use either via the WordPress.com website as a user, or by integrating with other web platforms. If you are new to this ...

Great tool for basic web development/management, once you get the hang of it

What do you like best? When putting together a site via WordPress, designing your own site and really tweaking it to fit your needs and preferences is fairly painless. WordPress offers great templates, or you can insert your own code. Great platform for a new site, and easy to manage/tweak once the blog/site is up and running. What do you dislike? For a complete web design newbie, the freedom WordPress gives you can be a little overwhelming. You will likely need the help of some ...

Great tool for a certain audience of web creators

What do you like best? The ease of organizing pages and adding content is great. Installing plugins is a breeze. The right amount of control is present for those who aren't typically comfortable editing and changing content. What do you dislike? The lack of flexibility with some of the more advanced coding is sometimes a hindrance, but most users who want that will likely be using a different solution anyway. Not knowing how much load each plugin will bring to the site can make things ...

Getting Wordy with WordPress

What do you like best? WordPress has a beautiful layout -- and many to choose from. It is more powerful than other blogging programs I have used and looks nicer. What do you dislike? It's difficult to navigate around. It's definitely not as user-friendly as other blogging websites. So while it looks nicer, it takes a lot more work to get to that point. Recommendations to others considering the product It's a great blogging site. It's nice to look at but be prepared to put in some ...

Depending on your needs and skill level, this could be the right product

What do you like best? Full Customization: You can really do anything with it. Sometimes it takes a bit to figure it out, or the time to find and add the correct widgets or plug ins, but you can eventually get there. Attractive Themes: There are some really good-looking themes available for you to choose from. Just about any look you'd like for your site is available. What do you dislike? I started out with wordpress.com, and then had to switch to .org (our webhost only hosts .org ...
