WordPress Review

What do you like best? I have been using WordPress for over two years and have loved the service it provides! I would highly recommend WordPress to others looking to create a website for their business. I have loved watching my website come together to represent myself as a musician. I haven't updated it much lately but I am already planning what changes I am going to be making this year! What do you dislike? There isn't really anything that I "dislike" but since I had somebody create ...

WordPress Review from a Frequent User

What do you like best? WordPress is extremely simple to use - please note this is for wordpress.org and not wordpress.com (though I do have account access for both. WordPress features a simple navigation bar on the left hand side of the page, allowing you to organize and create posts as well as tag and categorize them for your business needs. What do you dislike? I dislike the simplicity of WordPress, in some ways. I feel constricted, at times, to certain layouts and dimensions, ...

User-friendly, well-known platform

What do you like best? Wordpress has been well-known for a while. Users and visitors are familiar with the set-up, and they’ve had years to improve and haven’t wasted it. What do you dislike? Plug-ins could be sleeker. Different levels of admin can create confusion, though they ultimately make for more customization. Recommendations to others considering the product Do your research on different plugins. Read reviews, and consider what you really need. What business problems are ...

The perfect solution for our client websites

What do you like best? Its easy to use, has a wide variety of free plugins, and makes everything exceptionally simple for my clients since they have some control over their website. What do you dislike? Updating plugins sometimes breaks the website, but it usually isn't too difficult to find the problem. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Before Wordpress, our websites were built in HTML, and we were forced to do updates since ...

Great entree to learning about wordpress, but not a final solution

What do you like best? There are many benefits to using a wordpress.org as your hosted platform. You don't have to worry about platform updates, etc. However, because of that, you are somewhat limited with what you can do as far as a custom solution. If you're looking for a free blogging platform and/or want to learn how to use wordpress, this is a good place to start. What do you dislike? You're unable to deploy fully custom solutions. For that, you are better off either going ...

wordpress for a blogger and company

What do you like best? I like how widely known the product is, it helps that a lot of people (bloggers use it so you can get help from them. The tools are pretty easy to navigate once you get a sense of what they do. They have okay templates and reasonable prices for their services. The do have really responsive customer service as well. It makes it easy to schedule blog posts for our company blog (say you don't want to work on a weekend but have a post going live, this is a major ...

Wordpress can help teachers organize their individual content

What do you like best? As a journalism teacher, I'm able to organize my writing in one place that can serve as a model for my students. They can not only read but respond to my writing in terms of how it might impact their writing or video production. Plus, it's easy and straightforward. After learning the basics, I feel closer to having an online classroom. What do you dislike? Some of the functionality is clunky when I'm inserting pictures, videos, or unique text. I can't always ...

Always glitchy

What do you like best? It's straightforward and intuitive for the most part. I like how it integrates with so many other products. For example, social media links (if you're posting a photo or video from Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, etc automatically embed, which is convenient. What do you dislike? There are always weird glitches -- for example, I cannot search my media library any more. It simply doesn't pull any results even if I know the exact name of the file, and I know it's ...
