While WordPress itself is pretty basic, there is no end to the amount of plugins you can add so that you can customize your site to be exactly as you like. What do you like best? Wordpress is fairly intuitive and user-friendly, even for beginners. You can build a very nice, albeit somewhat simple website. What do you dislike? What do you like best? The interface and how easy it is to switch from HTTP to HTTPS.
