WordPress User Since 2005 and I Still Really Like It

What do you like best? I love that this open source software has allowed me to blog since 2005 when I didn't know a thing about coding. It has a sensible interface and is easy to use and makes websites that look great. I have since become very well versed in front end coding and find that very useful when attempting to customize WordPress, but it is still very good right out of the box with the right pre-built theme. I also love that there are plugins and premium themes to make my ...

My preferred website platform

What do you like best? Wordpress is hugely flexible with the ability to use different themes, and fairly user-friendly once you learn the ropes. I'm not a programmer and don't know how to code, but I can create beautiful professional websites. What do you dislike? I'm on the fence about the new Gutenberg editor (and right now I'm using a plugin to continue using the classic editor. I also wish some of the free themes were higher quality. Recommendations to others considering the ...

I've only ever used Wordpress for sites

What do you like best? I "grew up" using Wordpress, effectively, so it's really natural for me. I always learn something new, and Wordpress Q&A is pretty good: I can usually find someone to answer my questions about themes or issues I am having! I design all my own stuff, so often I find myself stuck on a theme-related issue or design question. Wordpress team members are happy to help, at least when you have a premium account! What do you dislike? I realize that Wordpress.org is for ...

Wordpress is amazing but can be a headache

What do you like best? I love how you can really customize Wordpress and look through so many different templates and themes to match your needs! I love how you can have a blog on the website but also choose not to have a blog. You won't ever know that a website is built by Wordpress because these templates are getting better and better. What do you dislike? I don't like how easy it is to hack into Wordpress websites. We had issues in the past with hackers, so we had to pay for extra ...

Cost-efficient web design

What do you like best? What I like best about WordPress is there are many things, as a marketer, that I can do myself versus hiring our engineers every time I have a minor change. What do you dislike? What I dislike is the confusion when you have multiple sites for log in. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? As a startup company looking for ways to reduce costs, WordPress helps me do that.

Wordpress is a powerful tool

What do you like best? I like the plugins that come with it. A lot of customizable themes. A lot of tools to develop your site and you get to own part of the web without paying monthly while another company owns your site. What do you dislike? It is hard to figure out at first. It's super confusing especially if you've never developed a website before. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? My website uses wordpress
