Beware

The initial interview with their rep went great, but I was not happy with my daughter’s tutor. He came across as a slob and we saw him smoking a blunt when he thought the camera was off.

Moved my daughter from failing to an A!

My daughter is taking a dual credit college Chemistry class in high school. Her first test grade was so bad that I sought help for her immediately. She had her second exam today and scored a 95! I am very impressed with the level of help and care from her tutor who not only tutored last night but still worked with her on some last minute practice problems on the way to school this morning!

Over the past 2 months my daughter has had 2 tutors, each has no showed, cancelled or rescheduled without notification. It is also and option for tutors to “turn off” messages, leaving my daughter unable to respond to rescheduled sessions. The inconsistency and lack of reliability with the services provided is shocking and the monthly fee being paid does not in any way provide the kind of support needed. In addition, for each cancellation the fees are still charged but the session carries ...

The tutor was great. I had some concerns with the company but, ultimately, felt like Varsity Tutors treated me fairly and worked with me to find a solution. That counts for a lot in my books.

My daughter’s tutor is wonderful

My daughter’s tutor is wonderful. Her name is Lisa Crawford. She is patient and works through problem sets while explaining what she is doing. Classmates ask my daughter to explain the homework after her sessions. In addition to being a great teacher, she has also been a pleasure to coordinate with when scheduling. Life gets hectic and she is understanding and accommodating.
