Useful and a must have service
I rarely write reviews but since UptimeRobot got my back during holiday times they totally deserve it! I am a web developer since 2007 self hosting and never thought of using uptime bots and always relied on hosting companies uptime stats/reports. Guess what? That's a totally WRONG approach. Don't do it. During current holiday times had some intermittent hosting outages that I discovered simply by accident. The hosting company that I trusted stood silent about it. "Prevent lengthy server downtime and get notifed promptly when downtime occurs"
What do you like best about UptimeRobot? I've been using the service for about a month. It has a user-friendly android app.

Get promptly notifications of your server downtime
I manage a VPS on aws. Recently, few times it happened that the server had a sudden spike of CPU utilization and it stopped working until I would restart it. Unfortunately, I could notice the incident only after hours of server downtime and it made the users unhappy. I googled for a service that can notify me when an outage occurs and I found UptimeRobot which is a very nice for this purpose. I've only used the free plan and only use the ping service.
