Spotsaas Editor’s POV

Trello's Kanban boards work well for task tracking and team collaboration, but assess your actual needs before committing. The free plan caps you at one Power-Up per board and lacks advanced reporting—if you need burndown charts, custom fields, or detailed workload analytics, you'll hit these limits quickly. The search function doesn't cover archived cards, so ...Read more

Trello pros and cons

  • Easy for new and experienced users to operate with minimal setup time.

  • Excellent tool for task organization with Kanban-style boards, drag-and-drop functionality, and customizable labels.

  • Supports team collaboration, knowledge sharing, and task delegation in remote or shift-based work environments.

  • Supports project tracking with features like checklists, due dates, color-coded alerts, and real-time updates to enhance productivity and clarity.

  • Limited capability for handling large or complex projects due to the lack of advanced features compared to specialized project management tools.

  • Archived tasks and boards are difficult to retrieve or review, causing frustration for long-term task tracking.

Best thing ever

This is the best free tool ever to list your tasks. It is especially useful for lazy people like me who forget what they have to do. Also has a phone app and everything is in sync so you can add things to your list wherever you are. I use it both for my own private life and work.

Not the fanciest software at the ball, but definitely one to introduce to your Dev team.

What do you like best? Trello doesn't spend it's time getting all "Glittered up" with features that you don't need. FYI, I don't need instant messaging We use Trello to track new feature ideas and then prioritize and set progress so that the whole team can see what anyone else is working on at a glance. The interface is amazingly simple and straightforward. What do you dislike? I would like a little bit more control over the previews the cards show. Something like cropping the preview ...

Fast and efficient project management for enterprise and personal

What do you like best? Trello is very nimble, allows a bunch of customization, comes with 95% of the tools we need to manage our projects out of the box, and is free! Plus, it helps that the rare emails they send come from "Taco from Trello". What do you dislike? User management hasnt always been very intuitive. We sometimes ran into trouble inviting users to certain boards and removing others when needed. They've made efforts to fix it, but it's still a bit wonky. Recommendations to ...

nice tool

Very nice tool. Brilliantly organized teaching tool with a dog. But I personally lack mobility for board-elements. They are a bit primitive now.
