Spotsaas Editor’s POV

Trello's Kanban boards work well for task tracking and team collaboration, but assess your actual needs before committing. The free plan caps you at one Power-Up per board and lacks advanced reporting—if you need burndown charts, custom fields, or detailed workload analytics, you'll hit these limits quickly. The search function doesn't cover archived cards, so ...Read more

Trello pros and cons

  • Easy for new and experienced users to operate with minimal setup time.

  • Excellent tool for task organization with Kanban-style boards, drag-and-drop functionality, and customizable labels.

  • Supports team collaboration, knowledge sharing, and task delegation in remote or shift-based work environments.

  • Supports project tracking with features like checklists, due dates, color-coded alerts, and real-time updates to enhance productivity and clarity.

  • Limited capability for handling large or complex projects due to the lack of advanced features compared to specialized project management tools.

  • Archived tasks and boards are difficult to retrieve or review, causing frustration for long-term task tracking.

Flexibly, easy to use project manager

What do you like best? Flexible, intuitive interface. With its drag-and-drop interface, boards, lists, and cards are as easy to manipulate as if they were physical. With the ability to attach notes, images, links, documents, it's incredibly helpful at organizing projects for both personal use and business. Powerful sharing tools makes it easy to collaborate, assign tasks, etc. What do you dislike? Would be nice to have email notifications for items coming due, not just internal ...

A bit to get used to, but good for organization

What do you like best? The organization is great. This is the way I think about projects so it is very helpful. Plus, with everyone able to get things done on it, you can keep of everyone and everything. What do you dislike? It is not the most user friendly at first, but give it a little time it is good to go. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Used to, but not many caught on with it.

Great interface web and tablet

What do you like best? Simplified the way of managing tasks. Till "trello" we had no "visual" interface to do it, drag drop, change prioritize. What do you dislike? If we need more features or integration it's more difficult and not that easy as another products as asana, jira etc. Recommendations to others considering the product Nice and easy to use but not great if you need integration and another more advanced features. What business problems are you solving with the ...

Agile Marketing Made Easy

What do you like best? -Very easy to use -Intuitive -I am able to easily collaborate with my team -Notifications of updates facilitate its continued use What do you dislike? -No analytics (we assign time estimates to completing specific "cards", and I don't believe there's a way to add all cards for an individual Recommendations to others considering the product Great for simple task tracking. Trello - Collaboration is Key!

What do you like best? Trello provides a user-friendly environment for collaboration and organization of initiatives in a single or cross-departmental environment. It is great to have the ability to lock boards for individuals and organize relevant material and tasks in a single location which allows comments and progress reporting. What do you dislike? Trello can get cluttered if not managed correctly by someone with a sense of organization, but ultimately exceeds expectations when ...

Simple UI, great for small-medium sized teams

What do you like best? Single Sign On makes it easy to get people together without having to mess with accounts. The UI is straightforward and intuitive, with drag and drop ordering of cards, and single-page editing. What do you dislike? It gets unwieldy for large amounts of cards, and the forced stack-rank is inappropriate in some situations. There's no way to communicate if the card order is important or not. For example, the difference between "these are the ideas I had, in the ...

A great visual productivity tool

What do you like best? It's great for creating and assigning tasks to co-workers and yourself. Project management with great visual design with team collaboration around the boards. It tracks a process and provides a to do list. It's great when dealing with a mix of technical & non-technical people. Particularly useful when discussing a project with a scattered team. The best part is that it's free. What do you dislike? Cards/tasks are limited to only one Board/Project. Difficult to ...

Kanban method leader. Both for professional and personal tasks & organization.

What do you like best? First of all I was using Asana and switched because my research and generally everything in insert is well organized, easily searchable and contect can be moved from list to list inside the same board. Moreover it has ifttt integration and I like very much the option to input colour tags on every card.On the premium you can stylize it more, with background wallpapers ad everything that actually makes it crystal clear to make the content have value. What do you ...
