Spotsaas Editor’s POV
Trello's Kanban boards work well for task tracking and team collaboration, but assess your actual needs before committing. The free plan caps you at one Power-Up per board and lacks advanced reporting—if you need burndown charts, custom fields, or detailed workload analytics, you'll hit these limits quickly. The search function doesn't cover archived cards, so ...Read more
Trello pros and cons
Easy for new and experienced users to operate with minimal setup time.
Excellent tool for task organization with Kanban-style boards, drag-and-drop functionality, and customizable labels.
Supports team collaboration, knowledge sharing, and task delegation in remote or shift-based work environments.
Supports project tracking with features like checklists, due dates, color-coded alerts, and real-time updates to enhance productivity and clarity.
Limited capability for handling large or complex projects due to the lack of advanced features compared to specialized project management tools.
Archived tasks and boards are difficult to retrieve or review, causing frustration for long-term task tracking.

Keeping it all organized
What do you like best? Trello is my favorite for keeping my to-do list and tracking projects. It is also really useful for organizing a long white paper. I put notes on cards and file them under different categories. Then I can rearrange the notes and write the draft from the cards. What do you dislike? I dislike that I don't have the paid version. ;- What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Tracking to-dos in an easy (and fun ...

Project Management Tool
What do you like best? Trello is the tool that we use to collaborate on client projects. It has help us streamline our communication with our clients and freelancers. We are all able to talk and collaborate on projects so we are all on the same page. We are able to create the checklists that we need so everyone knows where we are with a project. Also, having the ability to set due dates and tag people is helpful. What do you dislike? I wish Trello could do more, like integrate with ...

Great for simple, but effective project management
What do you like best? Trello has made large improvements in managing large and small projects. I had a board for my wedding, and now have boards for my home, personal to-dos, and many for work. I'd strongly recommend Trello to anyone who is looking for small-scale project management. What do you dislike? The UI is getting a little clunky and could use a refresh to modernize and better maximize screenspace. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have ...

Never forget to do a task: Fabulous project management tool.
What do you like best? Very easy to use. I love the ability to assign others to tasks, and they can share updates through the comment function. What do you dislike? Easy and Intuitive Organizational Tool
What do you like best? I use Trello to organize my freelance and consulting projects. Working alone, it's great to keep notes to myself and track leads as they turn into clients. I've integrated with PunchTime to add time tracking to each card, so I can bill my clients accurately. For a free setup, this is ideal for me. For boards that I share with other people, Trello is great for keeping communication clear between team members and making sure priorities are staying at the top. What do ...

Works as expected
What do you like best? Ability to track project progress in a tile. We create templates and copy them into new tiles. Works great for tracking onboarding progress. What do you dislike? Can't think of anything. Any gripes I've had were addressed by the customer support team asap. Most of the time it was just a feature that I didn't know about... Great for a distributed team
What do you like best? Trello can be molded to fit different workflows. You can use it to manage projects or product life-cycle. The Slack integration extends the messaging beyond email. What do you dislike? It can take a bit of thought to set up a "board". It is not a jump in and go tool. You need to think about how you want to use it. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Needed a tool to allow tasks to be documented, ...

What do you like best? Trello is the simplest solution I have found to date for managing software development, telehealth and HIT (Healthcare Information Technology projects. One of the best things I like about Trello is the fact that imposes a workable organization scheme for the benefit of all concerned. What do you dislike? No matter what project management tool you use, it still takes time to input your data. Recommendations to others considering the product I doubt if you ...
