Spotsaas Editor’s POV
Trello's Kanban boards work well for task tracking and team collaboration, but assess your actual needs before committing. The free plan caps you at one Power-Up per board and lacks advanced reporting—if you need burndown charts, custom fields, or detailed workload analytics, you'll hit these limits quickly. The search function doesn't cover archived cards, so ...Read more
Trello pros and cons
Easy for new and experienced users to operate with minimal setup time.
Excellent tool for task organization with Kanban-style boards, drag-and-drop functionality, and customizable labels.
Supports team collaboration, knowledge sharing, and task delegation in remote or shift-based work environments.
Supports project tracking with features like checklists, due dates, color-coded alerts, and real-time updates to enhance productivity and clarity.
Limited capability for handling large or complex projects due to the lack of advanced features compared to specialized project management tools.
Archived tasks and boards are difficult to retrieve or review, causing frustration for long-term task tracking.

Excellent simple team project management tool
What do you like best? It's easy to understand and start using. If it's not easy, people won't use it and it doesn't get any easier than this. It's also free. What do you dislike? If you're working on a larger project or a project with a number of developers, it's too simple. You may need a more technical project management tool for development purposes. Recommendations to others considering the product If you have a big long term project or have lots of tasks, at some point you ...

The best and most easiest to use Project Management and EVERYTHING Management Software
What do you like best? Very simple interface, the free features are enough to get you started, and it's easy to adapt (almost too easy to a company. What do you dislike? I don't like that you can't set individual due dates on different items like checklists, checklist items etc. I also don't like how you can't setup a start and end date for cards. These items make Trello less attractive and can almost make or break my decision with adopting this software with a company. ...

Trello Review
What do you like best? Ease of use, flexibility and functionality. The beauty of Trello is that our teams can configure their boards to the style that suits them best - we use it for both Agile and GTD methodologies. What do you dislike? I can't say that I dislike anything about Trello. It's a fantastic product that we use in both our business and personal lives. Recommendations to others considering the product A great way to get started is to look at example boards so you have ...

Time Saver
What do you like best? I like Trello becaue it is easy to use for quick projects. I don't have to spend a lot of time training my commitee members how to use it. My committee members are not project managers, so this quick fee software allows them to be involved without having a project management background. I really like the drop and drag capabilities and it highly visual. I like that it is FREE! and I can have it on my phone as an app. I also like that Trello is flexible and I ...

Trello
What do you like best? I liked that it was easy to keep lists running, instead of writing on paper, on a whiteboard, etc. where it can easily get lost. What do you dislike? It was too simple for us, we were looking for a PM tool that would allow us to track projects but without being as robust as some workflow platforms out there. Recommendations to others considering the product This is great for tracking things like ideas, checklists, to-do, assign tasks to users, etc. But, it's ...

Great for ad-hoc organization, needs plugins/mgmt overhead for more structured systems
What do you like best? Very easy to do an ad-hoc or low-overhead system, like Kanban. Enables you to get set up quickly, without much thought, for when things are moving quickly. What do you dislike? Limited to a single "powerup" (like calendar view on free boards. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? - Keeping track of, and prioritizing, incoming requirements. - Observing how close to capacity current workload is.

Easy, Simple, and Effective
What do you like best? Trello provides the interface and framework for project management and organization without being too prescriptive. I continually find new ways of using Trello boards for my own benefit and with my team and family. What do you dislike? Anything that I've wanted in the past has been added (due dates, search functionality, moving cards between boards. The product continues to improve and exceeds my expectations. Recommendations to others considering the product ...

Intuitive and Easy
What do you like best? The easy and simplicity. You don't have to be very tech-savy to use, and since we have project team members come and go somewhat frequently, it's important that people can come on board and get acclimated quickly. What do you dislike? The visual style doesn't work for everyone (but then again, nothing is going to work for everyone. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? We're keeping track of recruiting for ...

Easy and Fun
What do you like best? A place to keep lists - and track them for compliance! It's great being able to archive, drag and drop, and easily view all running lists and projects that we wouldn't otherwise put in our CRM. What do you dislike? I wish it was easier to complete a task/list, rather than having to just archive or create a separate card for "completed" to drag it over to. Recommendations to others considering the product It's very simple - that's the beauty of it. But don't ...
