Spotsaas Editor’s POV
Trello's Kanban boards work well for task tracking and team collaboration, but assess your actual needs before committing. The free plan caps you at one Power-Up per board and lacks advanced reporting—if you need burndown charts, custom fields, or detailed workload analytics, you'll hit these limits quickly. The search function doesn't cover archived cards, so ...Read more
Trello pros and cons
Easy for new and experienced users to operate with minimal setup time.
Excellent tool for task organization with Kanban-style boards, drag-and-drop functionality, and customizable labels.
Supports team collaboration, knowledge sharing, and task delegation in remote or shift-based work environments.
Supports project tracking with features like checklists, due dates, color-coded alerts, and real-time updates to enhance productivity and clarity.
Limited capability for handling large or complex projects due to the lack of advanced features compared to specialized project management tools.
Archived tasks and boards are difficult to retrieve or review, causing frustration for long-term task tracking.

Power Trello User
What do you like best? For someone who is not very good at organization and task management, Trello is an amazing tool for keeping me on task, capturing tasks to be done, and helping me coordinate with team members and clients. I have used it for consulting work, internal teams, and my wife and I even used it to plan our wedding and honeymoon. It is dead simple to set up a new board, create tasks and to-do columns, tag them, and assign to various team members. Best digital solution ...

Nice project, task, and to-do software for on-the-go and for home / office
What do you like best? The interface is easy to use. It seems more intuitive than other apps I've tried. It runs well on my Android phone and tablet and on my computer desktop (running Windows 10 Pro. I was using Evernote to do the same thing, but am finding they have different uses. This program does a really nice job of compartmentalizing projects and tasks. Amazon Echo communicates with it by using IFTT software. It takes a little work to get IFTT to talk to Echo, but it isn't hard. It ...

Kanban Boards are the best for task management
What do you like best? Using the Kanban style boards for tracking tasks in a project is by far the most efficient and easy to understand system I've ever worked with. In this regard, Trello delivers ease of use and depth of features that few others can match. What do you dislike? Some UI elements are cumbersome, and board sub-nested columns aren't as clean or flexible as some other services I've tried. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you ...

Trello helps me be agile
What do you like best? The best things about Trello are the speed at which it can be learned, the staggering versatility, the price (free and the natural user flow. What do you dislike? The only thing I struggled with was using it to schedule tasks for a team. I no longer use it to manage deadlines but instead use it as an agile development tool in addition to other tools that are better suited to the way that I prefer to schedule. What business problems are you solving with the ...

Great way to track jobs
What do you like best? Very easy to use. It was a great way to keep track of work flow. There are always multiple people working on each project so this way you are able to assign a job and a task and monitor the work. I like that you can set a due date and a reminder as well. What do you dislike? When you search for an item, once you click on it you can't go back and search of the item again in case it's not the one you really want. you have to go and do another search. What business ...

Trello for Group Projects
What do you like best? Trello can be shared with colleagues for group projects. But - it doesn't just have to be work related! I shared a grocery list with my husband too. What do you dislike? It's a bit clunky to move things from one board to the other. Recommendations to others considering the product Try it out. There's nothing wrong with using it and then if it doesn't work, give something else a try. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits ...

Flexible tool for organizing projects and ideas
What do you like best? I love Trello's flexibility. It uses a system of boards, cards and lists that can help organize work in different ways. I use it for managing small projects and for brainstorming and keeping track of ideas by topic. I also keep by to-do lists on Trello What do you dislike? Trello doesn't offer any reporting options. I also don't like that I can't Mark cards as "completed". Recommendations to others considering the product Trello is great for people who want a ...

Great tool for organizing and collaborating with my small team
What do you like best? Nice user interface, easy to set up and get going, easy to customize What do you dislike? Some features that were free are now available only in premium (like adding the fading card option, etc Recommendations to others considering the product Make sure to watch the intro and tutorial videos- they show you how to get started and give you creative ideas on how to use the product in other ways. I've found these useful whenever I get stuck on how to set up a new ...

Easy to use
What do you like best? It's very simple and you can customize and move cards easily. The flow is easy to understand. You can duplicate cards or move them across boards. The hardest challenge is getting the team to use this software. What do you dislike? I wish there was a desktop version like Slack. I think it even integrates with Slack but I don't know how this works or improves its functionality. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you ...
