Spotsaas Editor’s POV
Trello's Kanban boards work well for task tracking and team collaboration, but assess your actual needs before committing. The free plan caps you at one Power-Up per board and lacks advanced reporting—if you need burndown charts, custom fields, or detailed workload analytics, you'll hit these limits quickly. The search function doesn't cover archived cards, so ...Read more
Trello pros and cons
Easy for new and experienced users to operate with minimal setup time.
Excellent tool for task organization with Kanban-style boards, drag-and-drop functionality, and customizable labels.
Supports team collaboration, knowledge sharing, and task delegation in remote or shift-based work environments.
Supports project tracking with features like checklists, due dates, color-coded alerts, and real-time updates to enhance productivity and clarity.
Limited capability for handling large or complex projects due to the lack of advanced features compared to specialized project management tools.
Archived tasks and boards are difficult to retrieve or review, causing frustration for long-term task tracking.

Trello in 2016
What do you like best? It is user friendly and is a great space to house projects from different teams in one place. Managers can have a great overview on what their teams are working on. It also lets the employees show exactly what they've been working on to upper management. What do you dislike? Infrequently trello will stop responding and needs to be refreshed. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? In the past upper management ...

New to Trello, enjoying it
What do you like best? I like the visual layout and the ability to see what the team is working on all at once. Communicating is easy and people who don't need to be notified aren't bothered. We can see what we have been working over the past several months very easily. It was not hard to learn this system. What do you dislike? I can't figure the markdown for special formatting. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Collaborating ...

Quick and portable team management
What do you like best? Portability, I use trello for coordinating with designers, writers and other content generation staff, it allows to set a pretty straightforward course of action for the day, week or specific campaign/project, I get notifications on the mobile app and e-mail so I'm aware of what is being done wherever I go. Images are easily uploaded and seen from the mobile app and the web, so you can work remotely on this content and provide feedback within the cards. I love ...

Great for small teams and a replacement for your whiteboards
What do you like best? Ease of use and feature options are the best parts of the product. Trello has a vast amount of usability to a committed and dedicated team. While it might not be as well suited for large teams, Trello is great for small teams that have a lot of work on their plate but perhaps not as much time to collaborate or status update each other on the ins and outs of projects. What do you dislike? Little add-on support for free customers means that we cannot take advantage ...

What do you like best? Trello is very simple. The interface is very slick and it's easy to use with the keyboard. What do you dislike? You can not decide that a column means "done". What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? I'm using it everyday as a task manager / project manager.

Good for individual tasks, challenging for larger, multi-step accounts and projects.
What do you like best? Trello provides a great way to assign individual tasks and watch them as they move forward throughout the process. What do you dislike? Trello is NOT the best source for overall client management, but better for individual projects. Hard to keep track of each individual account with multiple projects. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Communicating and task management for remote teams and individuals.

Good for managing teams
What do you like best? Ability to drag and drop cards between columns. What do you dislike? Sorting of cards is tricky. You can colour code but it's not intuitive. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Great way to manage 1:1 meetings, keep multiple smaller projects organized.
