Spotsaas Editor’s POV
Trello's Kanban boards work well for task tracking and team collaboration, but assess your actual needs before committing. The free plan caps you at one Power-Up per board and lacks advanced reporting—if you need burndown charts, custom fields, or detailed workload analytics, you'll hit these limits quickly. The search function doesn't cover archived cards, so ...Read more
Trello pros and cons
Easy for new and experienced users to operate with minimal setup time.
Excellent tool for task organization with Kanban-style boards, drag-and-drop functionality, and customizable labels.
Supports team collaboration, knowledge sharing, and task delegation in remote or shift-based work environments.
Supports project tracking with features like checklists, due dates, color-coded alerts, and real-time updates to enhance productivity and clarity.
Limited capability for handling large or complex projects due to the lack of advanced features compared to specialized project management tools.
Archived tasks and boards are difficult to retrieve or review, causing frustration for long-term task tracking.

Trello is a great project management tool for visual thinkers
What do you like best? Trello allows you to create and maintain multiple boards for project management. It is an all-inclusive platform that enables organization through dates, visuals, checklists, assignments, etc. What do you dislike? The layout, while visually stimulating, can quickly clutter making it more difficult to use the tool effectively. Additionally, edits made on a board by any user are reflected across the boards of anyone tagged on the project rather than going through ...

Most flexible collaboration tool out there
What do you like best? Trello can be whatever you want it to be. It makes no assumptions about the type of project you're working on. Anything that could be organized through a series of handy lists will be happy on Trello. What do you dislike? It doesn't have a concept of "single source of truth", as in, an update you make to one card can't propagate to one on another board. That's the only problem I run into regularly; everything else is smooth sailing. What business problems are ...

Great productivity app for teams
What do you like best? Trello is the friendliest and the easiest productivity app to use. It's free and you can integrate it with Slack simply. What do you dislike? I haven't found anything to dislike. It does its job. No more no less. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? We're using Trello to organize tasks within our teams to stay informed abut the progress of each task.

Task management made easy
What do you like best? I like that Trello is visually simple to understand. Having my tasks on cards and organized into different categories makes it easy to quickly see what needs to be done or what has been accomplished by others on your board. It is also helpful to assign tasks to multiple people and comment on them. What do you dislike? In my opinion any dislikes about Trello would have to be caused by other board users- like having to remove yourself from a card unrelated to you ...

Great UX for my small team
What do you like best? It's extremely easy for my team to see who is working on what at any given moment. I think the interface is extremely user friendly and it also helps me stay organized at all times. What do you dislike? I wish there was a way to customize some boards so that you could arrange information vertically rather than horizontally. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Team collaboration is sometimes difficult ...

Versatility, Simplicity, Speed, pick three
What do you like best? There is so much to love about Trello. It has achieved something few tools have by taking a very simple idea, with real world analogues, and making it more usable than the original (in this case, sticky notes on a whiteboard. For small teams the ability to quickly jot down notes and have them involve into tasks with all the comments, metadata, due dates and workflow you could want. Its flexibility is unparalleled and making changes to your workflow takes seconds. ...

Used Trello to assist in morning traffic meetings at an advertising agency
What do you like best? This program was great when it came to organizing jobs and seeing who had what at any given time on their plate. The easy to move, add and delete was a great feature. I loved the sleek and easy to use design. It is a great user experience. The real-time updates equally were nice. It was easy to move one card from one area to the other which was a great solution to the major problem that we were trying to solve at the time. What do you dislike? I wish it had been ...

Project Management Made Easy
What do you like best? I love being able to visually track the progress of projects clearly. You can easily create tasks, assign them to the appropriate team members, then individually show the progress and leave notes. Awesome way for team members to coordinate on projects, especially those that are visual thinkers. What do you dislike? I wish I could change the color of the border around the list. I think it would help recognize categories quicker. Recommendations to others ...

Personal Productivity
What do you like best? I've actually recommended Trello on many occasions to friends and colleagues. It's a tremendously simple yet powerful tool for organizing just about anything and it offers great mobile and realtime collaboration features. I use it professionally and personally. My wife and I organize projects and lists together on a shared set of boards. We even used it to run an agile approach to doing a makeover on our back yard and various outside projects for the spring and ...

Makes Working with Teams a Breeze
What do you like best? Trello makes scaling projects easy. Using the Kanban approach, task based cards are easy to drag around the project board, allowing for project updates in real time. It's also incredibly easy to add other users, due dates, attachments, and a million other "power ups" that Trello offers. What do you dislike? There is a free option, but power ups (essentially plug ins are limited per board. Premium/Business members get more options. But otherwise, all membership ...
