Spotsaas Editor’s POV

Trello's Kanban boards work well for task tracking and team collaboration, but assess your actual needs before committing. The free plan caps you at one Power-Up per board and lacks advanced reporting—if you need burndown charts, custom fields, or detailed workload analytics, you'll hit these limits quickly. The search function doesn't cover archived cards, so ...Read more

Trello pros and cons

  • Easy for new and experienced users to operate with minimal setup time.

  • Excellent tool for task organization with Kanban-style boards, drag-and-drop functionality, and customizable labels.

  • Supports team collaboration, knowledge sharing, and task delegation in remote or shift-based work environments.

  • Supports project tracking with features like checklists, due dates, color-coded alerts, and real-time updates to enhance productivity and clarity.

  • Limited capability for handling large or complex projects due to the lack of advanced features compared to specialized project management tools.

  • Archived tasks and boards are difficult to retrieve or review, causing frustration for long-term task tracking.

Great simple board software. Team loves it!

What do you like best? First of all let me say it's good enough to use personally as well as for work, almost everyone uses it for both! Team is great at keeping it up to date and feature-rich. It does everything we want it to! Basically an amazing virtual whiteboard for Scrum/Agile or even just for simpel to-dos in my life. I use it for everything from work to gift ideas and weekly to dos : Love multiple boards and collaboration. For something so simple it has a lot of power. try it!! ...

Very versatile and extensible organizer

What do you like best? Trello does an excellent job of slowly revealing features as you become familiar with it. The number of extensions and apps available for it make it easy to hook in other apps you use every day such as SFDC, Google Drive, etc. What do you dislike? The iOS app is not as good as the one for Asana in one particular area which is offline synchronization. Asana does a much better job of making your workspaces available to you when you are offline, which happens often ...

One of my 2 top agile management solutions.

What do you like best? Very versatile. Lots of powerups. Everything you need to run agile projects. What do you dislike? Could have a more sexy design. Doesn't have time track. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Manage projects.

More applications than I thought possible!

What do you like best? Ease of use and simple functionality make this the best tool out there. People can get up and running in minutes - allowing for collaboration across teams and contractors. The mobile features + ability to quickly email tasks to myself for sorting in my personal/work boards makes me more efficient. What do you dislike? There is very little I dislike about the product. Pricing is more than fair for teams. I might suggest a few more color options for ...

Great Project Management and Collaboration Tool!

What do you like best? Easy to use interface and notifications make it easy to work together and stay informed. What do you dislike? Really not much to dislike here. If anything I'd say that it can be difficult to find archived cards. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? We use Trello to manage complex group efforts and special projects. Having a central location for project data and status is extremely helpful to a team of any size.

Everything in one place

What do you like best? I like how it orginized. It is orginized in view of the board with task list. What do you dislike? If you want to click between boards you have to go out of one board, then go to the home screen with all boards and then open another one What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? We are creating game design. Client has the idea of the game. we realize that idea.

Strong Addition to our Team dynamics!

What do you like best? I like that we can fully collaborate and assign people to tasks. I like the design and visual structure so when we present our tasks updates, it is easy to see and view. We can easily see at what level the task is and who is responsible. We can also evaluate what is left behind and how much we have and maybe assign more team members to help. I like that you can add images and links and comments all in one task within the project and we can all as members ...

Trello is a great product for organizing small projects

What do you like best? What I really like is the clutter free user interface. Cards can be dragged around for easy organizing tasks, ideas, user stories etc. I use different list in a board to represent the different stages in the SCRUM process. The visual overview gives you a very quick insight in the progress of the project. Also adding tasks to cards works really well. The visual feedback shows clearly the progress of implementing this tasks. Collaboration is realtime. Many ...

Indispensable tool for small business

What do you like best? The tool is versatile and can have so many different uses - both professional and private. But the best part of it is its interface - very user friendly and fast. What do you dislike? There are some annoying little things - like missing option to add a new task at the top of the list on Android application. But Trello support has lots of requests on their roadmap and I believe they will eventually implement also this one. Recommendations to others considering ...
