Spotsaas Editor’s POV

Trello's Kanban boards work well for task tracking and team collaboration, but assess your actual needs before committing. The free plan caps you at one Power-Up per board and lacks advanced reporting—if you need burndown charts, custom fields, or detailed workload analytics, you'll hit these limits quickly. The search function doesn't cover archived cards, so ...Read more

Trello pros and cons

  • Easy for new and experienced users to operate with minimal setup time.

  • Excellent tool for task organization with Kanban-style boards, drag-and-drop functionality, and customizable labels.

  • Supports team collaboration, knowledge sharing, and task delegation in remote or shift-based work environments.

  • Supports project tracking with features like checklists, due dates, color-coded alerts, and real-time updates to enhance productivity and clarity.

  • Limited capability for handling large or complex projects due to the lack of advanced features compared to specialized project management tools.

  • Archived tasks and boards are difficult to retrieve or review, causing frustration for long-term task tracking.

Trello keeps me organized and focused

What do you like best? The ability to see all of my client projects at once, with my task list and assigned dates. I also like using it for strategy development. I also appreciate the ability to assign due dates to each task and see them on my Google Calendar. What do you dislike? I wish there were a few more view options so I could see a cleaner and more long-term workflow. I also wish it integrated with additional platforms better like Google Docs. I haven't quite figured out how to ...

Fantastic Project board!

What do you like best? Card creation and collaboration is on-point. I love the 3rd party integration support for Trello, too. From Slack to IFTTT to Zendesk, there's sooooo much to offer, here. Great app. What do you dislike? Boards. Boards can get kinda numerous if you aren't careful. Also, alerts are tough to keep track of if you have a busy team. If you get 20+ alerts or mentions per day, you'll soon find that you can't always view all of them. You have to stay on top of them or ...

Excellent - free - tool for team collaboration and organization

What do you like best? I like the ability to collaborate in one, shared, web-based space where a board can be accessed by all team members. I also like that team members can be tagged in comments to alert them of action needed. What do you dislike? I don't like that I have to bury a to-do list within a card, rather than show it on the card or list level. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Trello cuts down on face-to-face ...

Good task manager

What do you like best? I like how minimalistic Trello is, there is nothing extra. It purely keeps your tasks organized. It is a very clean design and easy to see all lists within a board at a glance. The feature I use the most is the 'drag' feature, which allows me to move around tasks from different lists, if it's in the wrong place. What do you dislike? I dislike how the boards are set up. It's confusing as to switching between boards and teams, not able to easily check-mark the ...

Excited to scale this product as my business does

What do you like best? It's clean and simple. I know how to construct everything (it's incredibly intuitive if you're new, and more advanced properties and options are there for me if needed. What do you dislike? I'm not a design expert, but sometimes the UI does feel a bit uninspiring to me. This is more the comment of a perfectionist, however, and I honestly couldn't tell you how to make it better. Recommendations to others considering the product It is completely free to try, ...

Delegate like a pro

What do you like best? Trello is great at organizing tasks and helping group members to stay organzied and on time with their portion of the work. What do you dislike? Trello has so many features that it can often get confusing. Its not user friendly. You really have to play around with it to figure it out . Recommendations to others considering the product Take the time to get to know Trello before actually having to use it. It can be tricky. It is however a great tool! What ...

Organize yourself the easy way

What do you like best? Power-ups and integrations are what make this kanban software special, makes it a little more flexible and easy to use. What do you dislike? Would be nice that a list could be categorized as "Done" tasks, so they can automatically disappear overtime instead of having an evergrowing list of done stuff Recommendations to others considering the product Won't use it for project management, defintely needs work for that, maybe with the custom fields powerup can be ...
