Spotsaas Editor’s POV

Trello's Kanban boards work well for task tracking and team collaboration, but assess your actual needs before committing. The free plan caps you at one Power-Up per board and lacks advanced reporting—if you need burndown charts, custom fields, or detailed workload analytics, you'll hit these limits quickly. The search function doesn't cover archived cards, so ...Read more

Trello pros and cons

  • Easy for new and experienced users to operate with minimal setup time.

  • Excellent tool for task organization with Kanban-style boards, drag-and-drop functionality, and customizable labels.

  • Supports team collaboration, knowledge sharing, and task delegation in remote or shift-based work environments.

  • Supports project tracking with features like checklists, due dates, color-coded alerts, and real-time updates to enhance productivity and clarity.

  • Limited capability for handling large or complex projects due to the lack of advanced features compared to specialized project management tools.

  • Archived tasks and boards are difficult to retrieve or review, causing frustration for long-term task tracking.

Trello is a tool we can't live without

What do you like best? Trello has the ability to customize and keep track of multiple projects/boards for remote workers and teams. It is visually appealing and extremely easy to use. It's also free, even though we chose to get a paid account in order to back up our boards. We can't live without it. We've got multiple people outside our company who are subcontractors who use it for free and can use our boards without us paying for them. What do you dislike? It's hard to customize ...

Very useful Kanban board style task manager

What do you like best? Trello allows users to view and manage their tasks very easily and clearly. But beyond every card there is a very comprehensive array of functionalities for information and powerful control over it. What do you dislike? Unfortunately Trello becomes a bit limited when your project grows and you have to manage a big number of tasks between a large number of people in each team, specifically when you need to assign and organize deadlines. Recommendations to others ...

Great to manage workflow and timeframe

What do you like best? Trello can be put into a simple form and idea. All that Trello is a pin board that is online can be manage by a team. However not long is it a simple pin board, you can set timers, bullet points to tick off, tag other members, embed images and videos. All these features are pretty cool and I like them all. What do you dislike? There isnt much I dont like about trello. However when you are doing a new point board you cant press enter or click away to pin it, you ...

Strong Free Product Management Tool

What do you like best? I enjoy that I can add who we need to certain projects but they don't need to be bombarded by everything going on. This is a tool that allows the linear and creative thinkers to work together and be on the same page. What do you dislike? I wish it had one main calendar for each user instead of one per board. Recommendations to others considering the product If you are looking to implement a project management tool, this is a great place to start. You decided ...

Not the greatest look, but it's functional

What do you like best? Being able to go back and see board history. What do you dislike? It looks a little silly and childish, but it's no big deal. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Direct communication regarding a preset subject matter on several levels at once.

Trello Makes Project Management Easy and Fun!

What do you like best? You know how fun it is to press elevator buttons or insert an HDMI cable into the slot? That's how fun it is to use Trello. In Trello, you can take the toughest, most fragmented and contentious project, and boil it down to its components and stakeholders. From there, it's (dare I say it? fun to carry out the project. Thanks, Trello! I even use Trello for projects at home, like my daughter's college planning, my son's IEP, our plans to buy a house, and even ...

Trello organizes everything

What do you like best? I love how easy it is to move cards, add teammates, and build up the boards. What do you dislike? I wish there were more color options and that the boards looked nicer What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? I use trello for my freelancers. I invite them all to the board and they take the assignment they want and move it. I don't assign anything, they all just take what they want.

Trello helps my team stay looped in.

What do you like best? Clean design and ease of use. It doesn't feel like a project mgmt/coordination platform. It feels like the physical whiteboard we have at the office to track progress around projects. What do you dislike? I feel like there's a lot of features/functionality/add ons that I'm not aware of. It's great for our use on the project coordination side, but we're not using it the way we used to use Basecamp as our one-stop solution. What business problems are you solving ...

Create and Manage Tasks Easily

What do you like best? Nice and Easy UI to track my projects and tasks Manage the tasks and their status Adding the Power-Up options (Burndown really helped me managing the tasks User online status What do you dislike? When the team grows big (more than 20 people it becomes a bit difficult to manage. Especially when a user works on more than one project, it's hard to manage their timeline. My manager did not like as he has no high-level visibility across the organization. ...

Trello organizes my life

What do you like best? Its so simple and easy to use yet so powerful and customizable. The best part is being able to collaborate and have everything from to-do's, comments, and documents all in one place. What do you dislike? There's nothing I dislike but it would be nice if there was a way to have different views for the main login page where you see all your boards. Recommendations to others considering the product Take the time to really think through your workflows and ...
