Spotsaas Editor’s POV
Trello's Kanban boards work well for task tracking and team collaboration, but assess your actual needs before committing. The free plan caps you at one Power-Up per board and lacks advanced reporting—if you need burndown charts, custom fields, or detailed workload analytics, you'll hit these limits quickly. The search function doesn't cover archived cards, so ...Read more
Trello pros and cons
Easy for new and experienced users to operate with minimal setup time.
Excellent tool for task organization with Kanban-style boards, drag-and-drop functionality, and customizable labels.
Supports team collaboration, knowledge sharing, and task delegation in remote or shift-based work environments.
Supports project tracking with features like checklists, due dates, color-coded alerts, and real-time updates to enhance productivity and clarity.
Limited capability for handling large or complex projects due to the lack of advanced features compared to specialized project management tools.
Archived tasks and boards are difficult to retrieve or review, causing frustration for long-term task tracking.

The best project/life organizing software
What do you like best? The concept of cards and boards that you can customize and move to have a graphical view of your project. What do you dislike? Some of the bad integration with third party apps that promise certain functionality and are full of bugs and glitches. There is not a good communication tool like a chat or email integration. Recommendations to others considering the product Have a 2 - 3 hours introduction with your team so everyone gets familiar with the software. ...

Lists that can be customized to help you or your business become more productive
What do you like best? Trello is extremely easy to use and has a great user interface, allowing the user to quickly figure out how things work. The design of the site is aesthetically pleasing, and with the recent background update with Unsplash, there are plenty of backgrounds to choose for your various boards. I like that you can customize various boards to your needs, and there is endless things you can use Trello for. Best part is that the software is free with fees/upgrades for ...

Easy client organization but needs improvement for personalizing your own list
What do you like best? Easy way to keep collaborative to-do tasks and client notes in one spot. I also like the availability to attach Google Docs and other attachments. The color coded labels are also helpful for organizing which projects belong to which teams. Card creation is easy and quick, as is adding information to your personal profile. It can also be particularly useful if you are the only person on an account because you can create and check off all of your to-do tasks before ...

Great for story boarding!
What do you like best? The visual interface of Trello is why I use it. Great UX and the visualization lets me view the team's workflows. I like that deadlines can be set and automatic emails are sent out to keep the team on track. What do you dislike? There's no way currently to categorize items in the columns. Categories can help break the work up further and provide high-level description of what is expected from a combination of tasks. What business problems are you solving with ...
