Spotsaas Editor’s POV
Trello's Kanban boards work well for task tracking and team collaboration, but assess your actual needs before committing. The free plan caps you at one Power-Up per board and lacks advanced reporting—if you need burndown charts, custom fields, or detailed workload analytics, you'll hit these limits quickly. The search function doesn't cover archived cards, so ...Read more
Trello pros and cons
Easy for new and experienced users to operate with minimal setup time.
Excellent tool for task organization with Kanban-style boards, drag-and-drop functionality, and customizable labels.
Supports team collaboration, knowledge sharing, and task delegation in remote or shift-based work environments.
Supports project tracking with features like checklists, due dates, color-coded alerts, and real-time updates to enhance productivity and clarity.
Limited capability for handling large or complex projects due to the lack of advanced features compared to specialized project management tools.
Archived tasks and boards are difficult to retrieve or review, causing frustration for long-term task tracking.

Super helpful: I've even started using it outside of work
What do you like best? Trello is a Type A person's dream; I started using it in a former job, brought it up to people in my current job (a few of us are now using it here and I also use it at home to organize what I need to get done. It's simple to make lists organized by literally anything you want (I do it by date, typically. It's easy to order, list, and add tasks, and even assign them to others. Great for non-dev tasks
What do you like best? It's free, simple to use, and integrates with slack. What do you dislike? For software developers, I miss the stories interface that pivotal tracker has. I think it's more intended for general purpose use, which is fine, just don't expect it to be the best fit for software development management. Recommendations to others considering the product it's free and simple to use, you can use it for anything. marketing, software development, etc. What business ...

Great Organization Tool
What do you like best? Using Trello is like making a to-do list that everyone can collaborate on. It's really cool that you can make a task card with a due date, create a checklist within that task card, upload relevant files directly to that task card, and assign people to that task. What do you dislike? Nothing! Trello is the best tool that I've come across in regards to organizing something big into little, do-able pieces, especially when the task involves a bunch of people. What ...

I have a couple boards where it is used as a task management software and other where is it just high-level information on projects. The UI works great on a PC, Mac, or mobile device! Add integration with companies like Zapier and this is great! What do you dislike? I wish the checklists displayed differently. If you have ...

The best "To do list" ever!
What do you like best? I use Trello for everything. For project management, to team communication and personal "to do" lists. Trello has helped to organize my team in a way that no other app has done. What do you dislike? Honestly, I can't really say there is anything I dislike because I am only exploiting it to about 10% of its potential. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? I own a language school. Thanks to Trello we have ...
