Spotsaas Editor’s POV
Trello's Kanban boards work well for task tracking and team collaboration, but assess your actual needs before committing. The free plan caps you at one Power-Up per board and lacks advanced reporting—if you need burndown charts, custom fields, or detailed workload analytics, you'll hit these limits quickly. The search function doesn't cover archived cards, so ...Read more
Trello pros and cons
Easy for new and experienced users to operate with minimal setup time.
Excellent tool for task organization with Kanban-style boards, drag-and-drop functionality, and customizable labels.
Supports team collaboration, knowledge sharing, and task delegation in remote or shift-based work environments.
Supports project tracking with features like checklists, due dates, color-coded alerts, and real-time updates to enhance productivity and clarity.
Limited capability for handling large or complex projects due to the lack of advanced features compared to specialized project management tools.
Archived tasks and boards are difficult to retrieve or review, causing frustration for long-term task tracking.

What do you like best? The simple format can be applied to many different circumstances or projects to help keep work organised What do you dislike? On occasions features are limited and costs to unlock extra features quickly add up. Recommendations to others considering the product It's really easy to use, give it a try and you might be surprised at how many situations you can apply it to! Time Saver
What do you like best? The ability to cross-check who is taking on a task, when there is more than one person who might be taking care of it- saves time and needless emails back and forth of who is doing what. What do you dislike? I like some of the mobile features better and wish they were on the desktop as well. Best example is being able to drag and drop to delete items rather than always having to click. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have ...

Nothing drops between the cracks.
What do you like best? That I know what my team is working on and when it is going to be delivered. What do you dislike? Having to click on the cards to see what is happening. I have had to hunt for information. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Making sure projects are kept on task and not forgotten about.

Trello Keeps Your Projects Managed
What do you like best? I like that Trello keeps even the most complex projects manageable. The visual "index cards" for each topic within the project make it easy to quickly check on the status of line items. What do you dislike? It's a little difficult to master the Trello system when you first log on, once you get the hang of it, it makes organizing projects with multiple milestones easy. Recommendations to others considering the product Take the time to really understand the ...

A simple way to organize
What do you like best? I like that i can keep it as simple as writing a short description to being able to categorize, assign, and date projects. What do you dislike? There's not much to dislike. Maybe a reminder when a deadline is coming up? But maybe that's already available. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? I'm able to share my work load info with others so we know who needs more and who needs less.

Good collaborative tool, but not for very large, deadline-driven projects
What do you like best? The interactive and visual interface was very appealing to creative team members and allowed them to better visualize their assignments and participation in certain project activities. What do you dislike? It was very difficult to include information about start dates and deadlines for tasks in an intuitive way, which ultimately led to discontinuing use of the software for my project team. Recommendations to others considering the product I think it could be ...

Trello has been a game-changer for us leading to effective collaboration.
What do you like best? I love that it allows us to keep track of projects both with our internal and external teams. It is easy to use and takes seconds to set up. We primarily use it to coordinate efforts between us and our vendors (ERP system and web platform provider so we can all be on the same page. What do you dislike? There are some aspects of Trello that aren't as intuitive as others. For example, I placed a sticker on a card and it took me a bit to figure out how to remove ...

Helpful when I remember to use it!
What do you like best? Trello is a really helpful tool for longer tasks that may have many smaller tasks as part of it. I also like how it integrates with Google Calendar What do you dislike? I wish Trello was more like a plug in for google calendar and I could see the tasks and details on my calendar itself or on the sidebar. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? I would forget to do something small because I had lost the post-it ...
