Spotsaas Editor’s POV
Trello's Kanban boards work well for task tracking and team collaboration, but assess your actual needs before committing. The free plan caps you at one Power-Up per board and lacks advanced reporting—if you need burndown charts, custom fields, or detailed workload analytics, you'll hit these limits quickly. The search function doesn't cover archived cards, so ...Read more
Trello pros and cons
Easy for new and experienced users to operate with minimal setup time.
Excellent tool for task organization with Kanban-style boards, drag-and-drop functionality, and customizable labels.
Supports team collaboration, knowledge sharing, and task delegation in remote or shift-based work environments.
Supports project tracking with features like checklists, due dates, color-coded alerts, and real-time updates to enhance productivity and clarity.
Limited capability for handling large or complex projects due to the lack of advanced features compared to specialized project management tools.
Archived tasks and boards are difficult to retrieve or review, causing frustration for long-term task tracking.

Platform that changed my work and life
What do you like best? Simplicity. Finally something I actually use every day. I have my boards with projects and with some private plans, lists for shopping and even creating some DIY projects. I love how I connect other apps and platforms and manage some external files. There's also great and same time simple android app that let me do stuff with Trello on the way. What do you dislike? i dislike management of something that you want to get rid of the list/board/checklist really fast. ...

Great tool for tracking action points for software development
What do you like best? Very visual way of tracking progress of items/activities that need to be included/executed in a project. Great web interface and iPhone and iPad apps. What do you dislike? There is not much that I dislike, however it would be great if you could roll up the results into an overall project planning. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Tracking activities in a project team

Easy to use and flexible
What do you like best? I like the ability to create multiple boards for different group projects with different access permissions and visibility. Trello has improved our team collaboration and reduced our email inbox space. Especially when working on documents, graphics and presentations, Trello acts as the historical repository instead of having to search through email string after email string. What do you dislike? I wish I could have a master view of all boards I've created or ...

Fast to learn, easy to incorporate
What do you like best? Trello is a fast tool to start using. The learning curve isn't steep at all and when you incoroporate it into your day to day work, it can help organize and prioritize. We use a scum like approach for development and trello fit's in very nicely. You can invite people from any email to join in. What do you dislike? You can get lost if you start to create too many quadros. I would like if there was a funcionality that can place all your quadros together, so ...

Trello a must have PM tool for app development, and strategizing for product roadmaps
What do you like best? Kanban boards can be adapted to any kind of way you want to use it. You can use as planning boards for your career goals, to-do lists, task backlogs for app development or ideating product roadmap with other product managers. A lot of Product Managers or Product Strategist do end up using Trello over Jira because for planning and moving product schedules you don't need additional parameters like Jira. What do you dislike? Is not as Intuitive as Asana. It require ...

Kanban at it's best
What do you like best? The intuitiveness especially for new Kanban users is great. If you've never worked with a project management tool, Trello is the way to go since you don't have to study how to use it first. What do you dislike? I "can" get a big cluttered based on how many cards/tasks/boards you have. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Trying to get tasks done and improve time management.

Keep track of what needs to be done
What do you like best? I love having a list of what needs to be done everyday in a single place. What do you dislike? I'm not a fan of the horizontal scrolling. Would be better to narrow the columns or fit more than one vertically. Recommendations to others considering the product Nice and simple. Does what it needs to do. Be sure to switch the alert emails to per hour or be annoyed often. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? ...

Revolutionizing my workflow
What do you like best? Trello has helped me make sense of all the tasks I have going across several different programs I manage. I had been using notes on whiteboards and scrap paper to try and keep lists together of what all needed to be accomplished and this has completely changed that, streamlining my to do lists into one attractive interface. What do you dislike? I'd like the checklists to appear on the front of cards sometimes, rather than clicking in to see the details. ...

Great tool for group collaboration
What do you like best? You can leave running comments between collaborators; the phone app syncs well and is easy to use. You can assign deadlines and it helps our team stay connected. What do you dislike? I haven't yet discovered anything I don't like! Recommendations to others considering the product Be sure to set your boards to private. Otherwise, they are searchable/viewable to anyone. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? ...
