Spotsaas Editor’s POV
Trello's Kanban boards work well for task tracking and team collaboration, but assess your actual needs before committing. The free plan caps you at one Power-Up per board and lacks advanced reporting—if you need burndown charts, custom fields, or detailed workload analytics, you'll hit these limits quickly. The search function doesn't cover archived cards, so ...Read more
Trello pros and cons
Easy for new and experienced users to operate with minimal setup time.
Excellent tool for task organization with Kanban-style boards, drag-and-drop functionality, and customizable labels.
Supports team collaboration, knowledge sharing, and task delegation in remote or shift-based work environments.
Supports project tracking with features like checklists, due dates, color-coded alerts, and real-time updates to enhance productivity and clarity.
Limited capability for handling large or complex projects due to the lack of advanced features compared to specialized project management tools.
Archived tasks and boards are difficult to retrieve or review, causing frustration for long-term task tracking.

A great asset for seeing status on tasks in a project
What do you like best? I like the fact that multiple people involved in a larger project are able to access a board, add tasks and progress updates, and also check back frequently to see the status of items. It's helpful when working with a team and managing the project. What do you dislike? Trello boards are great assets. Especially for web projects. However, we sometimes run into issues when only an admin can invite someone to a project board. This becomes a problem when the admin ...

Useful task management tool for most applications. Just not mine.
What do you like best? Trello makes it easy to create and manage tasks for a project while allowing you to let people from within and outside the organization submit ideas, and vote on tasks that they believe to be important. What do you dislike? Outside of the premium tier, you cannot have a private board, which means that all of your development, and plans for your project must face the public. Recommendations to others considering the product If you are working on something that ...

Using Trello for Billing and Invoicing
What do you like best? I love how easily you can organize everything in Trello. It is extremely user-friendly and can be used to improve your organization regardless of what you are working on. We create a large number of invoices each month and it gets extremely confusing and hard to follow. We also have a large number of steps that are taken and trello helps us keep track of where we are and make sure everything gets done in a timely manner. What do you dislike? I think the one thing ...

Great All-Around Collaboration Tool, Could Use a Few Improvements
What do you like best? Visual organization, tagging & labeling. What do you dislike? No nested comments, no due dates for specific checklist items. Recommendations to others considering the product Trello is a great tool for managing simple projects. For projects with a higher degree of complexity, I would recommend comparing with Asana, which allows due dates to be assigned to individual tasks, threaded comments, and superior file organization. What business problems are you ...
