Spotsaas Editor’s POV
Trello's Kanban boards work well for task tracking and team collaboration, but assess your actual needs before committing. The free plan caps you at one Power-Up per board and lacks advanced reporting—if you need burndown charts, custom fields, or detailed workload analytics, you'll hit these limits quickly. The search function doesn't cover archived cards, so ...Read more
Trello pros and cons
Easy for new and experienced users to operate with minimal setup time.
Excellent tool for task organization with Kanban-style boards, drag-and-drop functionality, and customizable labels.
Supports team collaboration, knowledge sharing, and task delegation in remote or shift-based work environments.
Supports project tracking with features like checklists, due dates, color-coded alerts, and real-time updates to enhance productivity and clarity.
Limited capability for handling large or complex projects due to the lack of advanced features compared to specialized project management tools.
Archived tasks and boards are difficult to retrieve or review, causing frustration for long-term task tracking.

Trello keeps your Duties Aligned
What do you like best? Working collaboratively is the main reason for using Trello, a simple, customizable kanban type board for teams that want to work agile. It allows for us to implement our work iteratively and efficiently. What do you dislike? There tends to be cards that people forget to update and keep accurate. We have had to implement workflow rules to make sure everyone is on the same page. The to do list tends to have cards easily created and forgotten. We have to ...

Gets the job done
What do you like best? Love how easy it is for multiple users to update projects at once. What do you dislike? The card system takes some getting used to. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? We needed a good, free project management tool to track the activities and assignments of a small group of ecclesiastical leaders. It fit the bill nicely.

One true champion
What do you like best? The best part about Trello is that it allows users to create, delegate, and monitor tasks at work. And every project manager knows that these are one of the most important things in every project. I personally am a huge fan of monitoring dependencies. This means that I can never be late and I almost always meet my deadlines. What do you dislike? Trello becomes messy when there are many active tasks or projects. This is due to the fact that Trello is more ...

Easy to use Task Manager, down the rabbit hole for more.
What do you like best? It's easy to get going, simple to use. Enough base functionality that you can tailor it to use with teams of people or just a task manager for yourself. What do you dislike? Trello has made a lot of strides to integrate everything into their boards. It would be nice to have a different view to be able to track and see the bigger picture without addons. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? I use it on a ...

Lightweight project management for any kind of project
What do you like best? I like that Trello is extremely easy and fun to use. It’s very flexible regarding the process to be used for managing projects while successfully keeping track of everything that’s happening at all times. I like the traceability of everything that happens in it, Trello keeps track of everything and exposes all activity to the users and this brings in a higher level of accountability into the teams while not having to be strict about the way the process is ...

Organize Simply
What do you like best? I like being able to outline all my content pieces in blocks, add descriptions, add documents, add authors and set deadlines to each content block. What do you dislike? I wish there were more color options for content blocks. Recommendations to others considering the product: Collaborate with you team, with others outside your organization. Organize your projects, create good content! What problems are you solving with the product? What ...

Easy Project Management
What do you like best? Trello is free to use. I can access it from anywhere which makes it easy to collaborate with my team to manage projects. What do you dislike? There needs to be a way to check off tasks once complete instead of just archiving them. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Prior to using Trello we used an outdated system of emailing and texting on group projects. It made follow up take a lot longer. With Trello ...
