I was finally able to connect to a computer remotely after trying for 3 days and struggling with the teamviewer downlod, sign in and sign up, etc, so I was overjoyed to be able to set up my brother's new laptop

Dabbler turned useful.
I am a private home user who has been dabbling with computers since the early 80's (ZX81 anybody?). I initially installed TeamViewer so I could support my mother's laptop, saving me a 20 mile round trip. Currently I am using it mainly to control a headless PC connected to my network, which I use as a NAS. I received a call from a drag race team 340 miles away that I was a member of several years ago. Very useful tool to use a remote computer. During the Covid lockdown It was the perfect tool to obtain files stored in a computer in a remote location.
