Outdated technology

I have lost sales because this machne only works intermittently in the southeast. It uses outdated 3G and will not operate with 4/5G. The printer has never worked properly.

Outdated technology

Used to have excellent customer service…

Used to have excellent customer service but recently the service has become terrible. And sum up sends automatic receipts to all your customers without asking you (shop) or the customer!

SumUp Reader failed after just over a…

SumUp Reader failed after just over a year of use, claiming a security mechanism had triggered preventing use. Contacted Custmer Support and they expected me to buy a new device to replace the one that had failed. Card reader worked fine until then but seems designed to break itself after a year to force user to buy a new machine. Avoid unless you want to pay for a new device every year.

If I could give no stars I would.

If I could give no stars I would. The app is full of errors, doesn't work, phone support is useless, email support never responds. I am just hoping I will get back my money once I return the device. Avoid this company, it's a joke! Responding to comment below: I have already responded to all your support emails, they were unhelpful and did not address my issue. I received the Sum up device today and I will be returning it without opening. I hope my refund will arrive too.

Very Poor Tech

Bought the terminal that has its own SIM card and prints receipts. IT is useless - it can’t get a signal even when my phone has 5 bars and if I’m at a venue and connect to a Wi-Fi network it still doesn’t work! Terrible technology and an expensive mistake. Having had it 6 months I can’t get a refund any longer
