"Good resource, requires user buy-in"

What do you like best about Stack Overflow for Teams? It's very helpful to have answers to common problems specific to your organization in a persistant, searchable format. If solutions or technical information live mostly in chat channels, it can be hard to share learnings more broadly thoughout the company. What do you dislike about Stack Overflow for Teams? Since StackOverflow is a separate platform, if no one visits the website it won't have any content. That seems self-evident, but if ...

Inability to embed documents. The QA answer format does not lend itself to deeper topics Recommendations to others considering Stack Overflow for Teams: Add Slack Integration. "Excellent Q&A Platform"

What do you like best about Stack Overflow for Teams? Probably the most useful Q&A platform for your IT team out there, and of course, it can be much more than that. Incredible tool. Just several clicks and everyone can go in and collaborate. Most of the IT crowd is already familiar with it, and who isn't it should not take long to get used to it. What do you dislike about Stack Overflow for Teams? Not a "Stack Overflow for Teams" fault, but the system does not write your questions and ...

"Easy and familiar way to share knowledge amongst your team"

What do you like best about Stack Overflow for Teams? Most developers are familiar with stack overflow from the public website so bringing that 'in-house' to share internal knowledge is a no-brainer. I like the question and answer format because it aligns with the mindset of a user looking for information. The ability to have and rank multiple answers allows everyone to contribute while keeping the most helpful response visible. Integrating with Slack and the weekly digests help collect ...

"Professionalism and a bit of gameification"

What do you like best about Stack Overflow for Teams? It has the well-known StackOverflow flair. Helpful answers rise to the top. A big plus over standard StackOverflow: tagging a few knowledgeable colleagues. Feels less formal and much more interactive than a wiki. What do you dislike about Stack Overflow for Teams? The search does not feel great in the start, that might be due to the fact that it shows a minimum number of matches. With very few entries seemingly unrelated questions are ...

"Good knowledge sharing tool for growing teams in a Q&A format"

What do you like best about Stack Overflow for Teams? The Q&A format makes the platform much more communicative/conversational than traditional wikis. The content is focussed on answering the question posed rather than documenting/dumping information in one place that others may need to dig through to discover what they need. The tagging system provides a reasonable way to organize content if you put in the time to think about and organize your base tags. The voting system allows for easy ...

"Might be better than using Confluence or MS Word for documentation"

What do you like best about Stack Overflow for Teams? I like that you can see the history of the process of change and it's easy to search my questions. I don't think I use any tools to use this software, I think it's better than using Confluence. What do you dislike about Stack Overflow for Teams? It would be nice to transfer old notes from confluence or sm word easily into Stack Overflow, if we were to migrate over like fully. Recommendations to others considering Stack Overflow for ...
