Talk about putting too much of a premium on your product 😂👎🏽. Whoever is responsible for marketing this product at this price has lost my respect for the company. Because of the price, even if it goes down to £40 a year, I will never use it. Just hate when companies claim to create a product/service to support people, when really they just want to make stupid amounts of money off them. Hope it fails.

Didn't work, terrible business practice

Didn't work and was difficult to cancel causing me to have to pay $140 for a service that I didn't want or use. Pretty sure they made it more difficult than other subscriptions to cancel on purpose because they want you to pay the first fee to get a quick buck. There are many other things I could easily complain about but I don't want ramble on about this for the rest of the day. I would never use this service ever again and couldn't recommend it to anybody.

I REALLY wanted speechify to be what it claimed. I need an app that does what it claims to, but in trialing it, it never ran smoothly and was glitchy. I was completely ready to slap down the money (no small expense for me) as I felt it was worth it but it just didn't work as promised. :(THEN comes all the issues with billing and people's experiences of them being scammers which turned me away from even trying. Why Speechify?! Why the money grab? Make a solid product and we'll be happy to ...

False advertising

They have a series of adverts on YouTube in which they say about 10 times that it is free. They don't qualify this. In fact, it is not free and this is a lie, there is a 7 day free trial only. I suspect this advert is technically illegal

Unethical free trial app -Scam

Unethical free trial app which makes it incredibly hard to cancel before they take $139 without warning or means to cancel. Do not sign up for the trial unless you are fully prepared to pay the exceptionally high price of $139 for an app which is not worth it.

This company has deducted £135 from my account even though I have not taken out any subscription, I was very careful to untick the box that unless you are paying attention will subscribe you after the free trial ends. When attempting a refund they tell you to contact your method of payment, in my case apply pay was used, what absolute nonsense! No emails received from this company to confirm a subscription, nothing at all. DISGUSTING to steal from ...

As with so many other reports. Tried the 3 day trial. Program is not fit for purpose. The text to speech facility built in with apple products is better and it’s FREE!!!! Speechifys software skips large portions of text. Very annoying. So decided on the spot I wouldn’t use it again yet speechify still took £107 out of my account! Took 2 weeks to get the money back! This shouldn’t be happening. Third party apps should have to contact people by email first to explain trial periods are coming ...

Awful scam and will keep trying to charge you if you use the free trial

Judging by these other reviews it’s clearly a scam. Wish I’d seen this before. They keep trying to take my money. I tried the trial like many others for a few days. It skipped sections but was ok. However I went to check out the pricing which isn’t very transparent and it only had an annual option available so decided not to go ahead with it. Yet they are trying to charge me.
