It's really good. I've used it to transcribe some Mandarin audio, and it's solid. Not perfect, but solid enough that it can save you hours and money.

SONIX works

SONIX works. Took a few tries to get the gist of how the transcription worked best for me, and SONIX missed a few speaker IDs, but straightening those out forced me to think back on the interview and helped me to recall the dynamics, inflections, and moods that interviewer and subject experienced at the time. All of this contributed to the feel and color of the conversation I was looking for. Editing went fast too.
