I found the service by browsing on line using google search. I have two recordings from September, 1979, and May 1980 that I did at a family reunion with my grandfather who had recently come from Cuba and I hadn't seen him in over 20 years. The recording was low quality, at home, multiple people talking on an cassette tape recorder. I had converted it to digital format over ten years ago. Best one for Romanian

I found Sonix by browsing online. It was one of the few transcription tools advertised in papers that did Romanian - and did it good enough for me to want to pay for the service. It transcribed fairly quickly.

Well worth the price!

I'm doing an interview-based PhD with most of my interviews on crappy online connections. I've tried Zoom's own transcription, Microsoft Office Online (both pretty crap for my application), and paid for Otter for a while. Otter was not awful but struggled with the poor audio and punctuation a lot. Sonix is an absolute bliss in comparison. It is slightly more expensive (as a student I pay about 10 $ month dep on usage) but soooooo worth what is essentially the price of a fancy beer. The ...

I've tried many trials for Portuguese…

I've tried many trials for Portuguese interview transcription and Sonix.ai was by far the best transcription, the one which offered most time for the free trial and also the cheapest of the options I tried. While automated transcriptions are still expensive for us as students, at least Sonix offers the most affordable of the options that have good quality.
