SolarWinds Take Control rocks

What do you like best? We have used a number of remote control products over the years. The think I like the best about Take Control is the ease of connecting - one click and you are on - no codes or passwords needed! What do you dislike? Probably the thing I dislike the most is that the screen quality isn't always the greatest - and sometimes it takes a while to connect. Recommendations to others considering the product: BUY IT! What problems are you solving with the product? ...

Great product with some amazing features on the way

What do you like best? Very easy and intuitive to use. Has great remote background features. What do you dislike? Switching between monitors can be cumbersome. Currently doesn't have a feature to lock agent input. UI integration with Solarwinds RMM is sometimes inaccurate. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Able to remotely troubleshoot user issues, leading to time and money saved that would have otherwise been spent on going on-site.

Great Remote Control software

What do you like best? The responsiveness of the software along with the file transfer / registry / command prompt feature is great. Customers really like the build in chat feature as well. It also deals with multiple displays wonderfully as well. What do you dislike? I dislike the command prompt design with the textbox at the bottom to input commands. Unable to do tab complete etc. That is the only major thing I dislike. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits ...

So much easier than Screen Connect

What do you like best? we love the fact that we can access every protected client right from the RMM portal! It works almost flawlessly. What do you dislike? I don't like the popup that happens (often) for multiple screens. I cannot figure out why the small screen 1 & 2 popup keeps showing in the upper right. That's the only annoying part What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? We are able to connect and begin repair of computers far faster ...

Useful and quick

What do you like best? I like how user friendly the interface is for take control. I also enjoy how simple it is to setup and to implement it on our clients computers. It is also a very handy tool as I am able to remote into my clients computers with a laptop or a tablet using take control. What do you dislike? The update process with take control is hit or miss. There will be one good update that fixes bugs, and then the next update will create new bugs that we have to work around. ...

Easy to use, good feature updates

What do you like best? The ease of use is very good. Anything that has been lacking has been usually updated/upgraded to make ease of use better along with other feature updates that are very useful. What do you dislike? Biggest issue is not having automatic session recording. We recently had an issue where we needed to see what was done in a session by a former employee. Automatic session recording would have been huge in that instance. What problems are you solving with the ...

Great Remote Control Tool

What do you like best? We use Take Control both as the stand alone version as well as the one integrated with NCentral. I am very happy with the product, as it works great to remotely manage our client devices. It is cross platform and provides additional functionality like command line, registry editor, etc. beyond just the desktop interface. I use it on a daily basis and am a fan of the product. What do you dislike? The only issue I’ve run into is on my Mac. It initially works fine. ...
