A fine software
What do you like best? SolarWinds backup does what it promises and tells you when it fails. What do you dislike? Very occasionally, the software will thrash a hard drive until the server is rebooted and the backup job manually stopped. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Some downtime due to the above problem. Benefits: able to sell secure, encrypted cloud backup, which is a plus for many clients.

Solid backup program
What do you like best? I"m a long time user of the product so I've seen a lot of changes and improvements over the last five years. The bare metal restore functionality and the ability to run a virtual machine locally and in the cloud has done a lot to plug holes in the offering. What do you dislike? Pricing. While the per gb rate is avg for those products still pricing that way the pricing is way off compared to what is now common with bcdr appliance options. The per-device pricing for ...

Works great
What do you like best? The simplicity to use. It's built right into the rest of the dashboard, so it doesn't require another set of logins to remember and is easy to keep track of while maintaining the rest of your systems. What do you dislike? Sometimes it moves a little slow on the web interface, this isn't huge deal or the end of the world. However this may be more so due to the speed of using the dashboard. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have ...

SolarWinds Backup fits a distinct need for us
What do you like best? Does not require an appliance, will still function on Windows XP What do you dislike? Integration with N-able is weak and limited in functionality What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? SolarWinds Backup fills a gap between file and folder backup solutions and large, BDR appliance based solutions. It gives us the ability to back up single workstations or servers without requiring additional infrastructure.
